As part of the European Route of Historic Gardens (ERHG) Summer Activities Programme, Parques de Sintra invites you to Jazz em Monserrate, returning to the stunning Park of Monserrate from 11–13 September 2026.

Under the theme "Other Times", this year's festival brings together Daniel Bernardes, Becca Stevens, João Barradas Trio with Jonathan Kreisberg, Rita Maria, Angélica Salvi and Mateus Saldanha for three days of concerts, film screenings with live music, Jazz for Babies, jam sessions and a masterclass, where music, heritage and nature come together in one of the most iconic landscapes of Sintra.

🌿 The Bouquet of Pan has come to life!

Created by the Garden Department staff of the Muzeum w Nieborowie i Arkadii, Oddział Muzeum Narodowego w Warszawie, this remarkable floral composition draws inspiration from Pan, the ancient Greek god of forests, shepherds and untamed nature.

🪴 💐 The bouquet draws directly from the scenery of Arkadia, bringing together ferns, ivy, hazel branches, mosses, wild grasses, fruits and weathered wood. Rather than following a formal or symmetrical design, the arrangement unfolds with deliberate spontaneity, echoing the picturesque ideals that shaped sentimental gardens of the late eighteenth century.

The bouquet rests upon a decorative ceramic platter handcrafted in the Majolica Workshop of Nieborów, where a long-standing tradition of artistic craftsmanship continues to flourish.

The European Route of Historic Gardens is proud to patronize the participation of the Museum in Nieborów and Arkadia as a Guest of Honour at the 42nd Royal Rose Exhibition – Royal Rose 2026, hosted by the Łazienki Królewskie / Royal Lazienki from 21 to 23 August 2026.

🌞🌘 On 12 August, visitors across the European Route of Historic Gardens (ERHG) gathered to witness the solar eclipse from some of Europe's most remarkable heritage landscapes.

From the Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife in to Miramare Museo Storico e il Parco del Castello in and the Park of Pena in Parques de Sintra, , our member gardens offered unforgettable settings to experience one of nature's most extraordinary spectacles.

The European Route of Historic Gardens ( ) participated in the International Congress “Heritage, Care and People in a resilient world: heritage networks as a sustainability strategy” on May 27th-29th 2026 in Madrid, Spain

Represented by Technical Manager Ana Rosa Moreno, the ERHG contributed to discussions on the role of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme (Council of Europe) in promoting shared European heritage, sustainable heritage management and community engagement.

During the round table, the Route highlighted the importance of heritage communities, care and network governance through the examples of Parc Samà (Spain) and the National Botanical Garden of Georgia (საქართველოს ეროვნული ბოტანიკური ბაღი • National Botanical Garden of Georgia), illustrating how historic gardens can strengthen local communities, preserve intangible heritage and foster more inclusive and sustainable heritage models.
