3-Day Hand-Building & Slip Workshop with Lena Konstanze Harms

Join ceramic artist Lena Konstanze Harms for three days of slow, intuitive making, exploring coil building, form and clay slip decoration.

Working in a small and supportive group, participants will develop their own forms through hand-building, while exploring rhythm, proportion, colour, pattern and mark-making.

The workshop is suitable for everyone, from complete beginners to experienced makers looking to deepen their practice and explore new approaches to surface decoration.

There is something very special about learning ceramics with the right teacher.

We are incredibly proud to have Jeff Frey as part of the De Haan Gallery Studio team. As our in-house ceramic artist and teacher, Jeff brings a wonderfully gentle energy to the studio — patient, encouraging and deeply knowledgeable, with a genuine passion for helping people discover the joy of working with clay.

His workshops are designed to give you the confidence to get on the wheel, understand the fundamentals of throwing and develop your own relationship with the material — all within the beautiful surroundings of Deià.

Three mornings in the studio, with afternoons free to explore Deià, relax, or join us for a visit to the coast.

Whether you are completely new to clay or simply want to deepen your practice, Jeff creates a space where you can slow down, learn, experiment and enjoy the process.

We will be adding more workshops with Jeff throughout the winter and into 2027, so keep your eyes on our upcoming programme.

We can also adapt future experiences and tailor it specially to your group’s needs and characteristics, creating a workshop that feels personal, meaningful and right for your group.

A vibrant celebration of colour, timeless craftsmanship, and contemporary elegance.

We are delighted to welcome Chous Ceramics to De Haan Gallery Studio.

Founded in 2024 by Despina Chroni and Giorgos Zitis in Sparta, Greece, Chous Ceramics creates contemporary vessels using the coiling technique, each piece meticulously shaped by hand and finished with luminous Terra Sigillata slips.

Their work is a quiet dialogue between form, light, and shadow—where sculptural silhouettes meet vibrant, joyful colour. Bold yet refined, each piece celebrates the beauty of the handmade while bringing warmth, character, and a striking contemporary presence to any space.

Beautiful new works by ceramic artist Laura Ramirez.

This is the second collection we’ve had the pleasure of receiving since welcoming Laura to the gallery, and we’re delighted to share these latest pieces with you.

Laura’s beautifully considered work balances sculptural form with quiet elegance, celebrating the subtle beauty of clay, texture and craftsmanship.

The collection is now available to view at De Haan Gallery Studio in Deià, Mallorca. We look forward to welcoming you to experience these works in person.
