يسعدنا أن نعلن عن دراسة بحثية جديدة من جامعة كالياري في إيطاليا حول موسيقى السمسميّة وتراثها الحرفي في مصر.
أعدّت هذه الدراسة الباحثة إليونورا ميليس تحت إشراف الأستاذ ماركو لوتزو، ضمن برنامج ماجستير في بتخصص الإثنوموسيقولوجيا ( علم موسيقى الشعوب )
نحن فخورون بأن مبادرة الإسماعيلية للتراث و المجتمع IHC و مشروعنا "ضمة و حظ" كان جزءاً من هذا البحث كأحد المبادرات النشطة في الحفاظ على تراث السمسميّة وإحيائه.
في أطروحتها ( فنانين البحر المتوسط، حرفيون في موسيقى: السمسميّة واللاونيداس، قارنت ميليس بين التقاليد الموسيقية في مصر و جزيرة سردينيا الإيطالية،
وأكدت أن هذه الفنون تجسد التراث وروح المجتمع.
وخلال زيارتها لمصر، درست صناعة السمسميّة في مركز التراثية ببورسعيد مع الفنان محمد غالى ، وشاركت في ورش موسيقية بالإسماعيلية مع مؤسسة مؤسسة ذَات للتنمية المستدامة TSDF ، كما عاشت الأجواء المبهجة للسمسميّة من خلال حضور حفلات حيّة مع فرق مثل صحبة سمسميّة. صحبه سمسميه
الدكتور أحمد نور، مؤسس IHC، قال:
«يسعدنا الاهتمام بالتراث المصري من جامعة مرموقة مثل كالياري، وهذا يشجعنا على مواصلة جهودنا في الحفاظ على الثقافة المصرية، ونتطلع إلى تعاونات مستقبلية مع الباحثين.
We are happy to share news of a new research study from the University of Cagliari in Italy, focusing on Simsimiyya music and craftsmanship heritage in Egypt.
The study was conducted by researcher Eleonora Melis under the supervision of Professor Marco Lutzu, as part of her Master’s Degree in Multimedia Production with a specialization in Ethnomusicology.
We are proud that IHC Ismailia was featured as one of the active heritage initiatives dedicated to preserving and reviving Simsimiyya culture.
Mrs. Melis explained:
“In my thesis, Masters in the Mediterranean, artisans in music: Simsimiyya and Launeddas, an international research in audiovisual ethnomusicology, I compared the artisanal traditions of musical masters in Egypt and Sardinia.”
Her work highlights how Mediterranean music traditions—like Simsimiyya in Egypt and Launeddas in Sardinia—embody artistry, heritage, and community spirit. During her fieldwork in Egypt, she studied Simsimiyya craftsmanship at the Al Torathya Center in Port Said, joined workshops in Ismailia with the TSDF Foundation, and experienced the joyful community spirit of live performances with bands such as Sohba Simsimiyya.
