يحتفل العالم في ٥ يونيو من كل عام باليوم العالمي للبيئة، وتم البدء بالاحتفال في عام ١٩٧٣، وأصبحت هذه المناسبة منصة عالمية للاحتفال بالبيئة وإقامة الأنشطة والفعاليات. وقد حرص المصري القديم على الاستفادة من بيئته المحيطة وتسجيلها في كل أعماله الفنية، وأيضاً في حياته الجنائزية، واستمر ذلك في العصور اللاحقة. ويضم متحف ملوي بين مقتنياته العديد من القطع التي توضح دور البيئة المحيطة والمحافظة عليها، ومن بين تلك المقتنيات.
Every year on June 5th, the world celebrates World Environment Day. Celebrated in 1973, this occasion has become a global platform for environmental awareness and the organization of various activities and events. Ancient Egyptians were keen to utilize their surrounding environment and document it in all their artistic works, including funerary practices, a tradition that continued into later periods. The Mallawi Museum houses numerous artifacts that illustrate the importance of the environment and its preservation.
