عيد وفاء النيل، تحتفل مصر يوم ١٥ أغسطس من كل عام بـ "عيد وفاء النيل"، تقديرًا لدوره الكبير في حياة المصريين وبناء حضارتهم؛ يُعد نهر النيل من أطول أنهار العالم يشق أرض مصر من الجنوب إلى الشمال، فهو شريان الحياة ومصدر الرخاء والخير، قدس المصري القديم النيل فى هيئة المعبود حابي الذي يفيض بالمياة الوفيره كل عام ليروي أراضي مصر، كما استخدموا النيل فى عمليات النقل والتجارة وبناء السفن والقوارب وظهر ذلك فى العديد من النقوش علي جدران المعابد والمقابر، وهذه المناسبة تُذكرنا دائماً بضرورة الحفاظ على مياة نهر النيل.

💥سرير مهد ولي العهد الأمير أحمد فؤاد الثاني من الخشب على هيئة مركب بزخارف مستوحاه من الفن المصري القديم واشكال وريدات ويتوسط الزخارف حلية من النحاس مجسمة تمثل المعبود حابي يربط بين نبات البردي واللوتس فى إشارة لوحدة البلاد، وعلى جانب السرير اسم أحمد فؤاد أمير الصعيد ، ويعلو السرير شكل التاج الملكي ذو هلال ونجمة، السرير من إنتاج المدرسة الجامعة للصناعات بمصر الجديدة - ديوان الأوقاف الخصوصية الملكية
Every year on August 15th, Egypt celebrates the "Wafaa El-Nil" (Fidelity of the Nile) festival in recognition of the river's vital role in the lives of Egyptians and the building of their civilization. The Nile is one of the world's longest rivers, traversing Egypt from south to north; it is the lifeline and a source of prosperity and abundance, Ancient Egyptians sanctified the Nile River and gave it the name of the god Hapi who brought abundant waters each year to irrigate Egypt's lands; they also utilized the river for transportation, trade, and the construction of ships and boats—activities depicted in numerous inscriptions on temple and tomb walls. This occasion serves as a constant reminder of the necessity to preserve the waters of the Nile.
This month we are pleased to present to you a piece from King Farouk’s collection featuring a depiction of the god Hapi.
💥 The cradle bed of Crown Prince Ahmed Fouad II is made of wood in the shape of a boat with decorations inspired by ancient Egyptian art, In the middle of the decorations is an ornament representing the god Hapi linking the papyrus and lotus plants "symbolizing the unity of the country". On the side of the bed is the name of Ahmed Fouad, prince of Upper Egypt. Above the bed is the shape of a royal crown surmounted by a crescent and its star, The bed was produced by the University School of Industries in Heliopolis - the Royal Private Endowments (Diwan al-Awqaf al-Khususiyya al-Malikiyya).
