يوم البيئة العالمي، هو مناسبة عالمية تحتفل بها دول العالم فى 5 يونيو من كل عام، بهدف الدعوة لحماية الأرض، ونشر المعرفة حول القضايا البيئية المختلفة مثل، التغير المناخي، تلوث البيئة، وفقدان التنوع البيولوجي، وتشجيع العمل الجماعي لحماية البيئة، وتحفيز الأفراد على تغيير سلوكياتهم اليومية لتصبح أكثر استدامة، مثل ترشيد استهلاك الطاقة والمياة، لحماية البيئة والموارد الطبيعية وتذكيرنا بمسؤوليتنا تجاه كوكبنا والتمتع بالطبيعة وحمايتها
