تم افتتاح القرية بشكل رسمى عام 1984

تحتوى القرية على اكثر من 15 متحف لتاريخ مصر القديم و الحديث و نسخة طبق الاصل من مقبرة توت عنخ امون بالاضافة الى ملاهى اطفال و مركز فنون و عدد من الكافتيريات و مطعم توت للمشويات

The concept of the "Pharaonic Village", as envisaged by its founder, Dr. Hassan

Ragab, was to show life in an ancient Egyptian village around 2000 B.C. Sightseeing:
1- Nile trip.
2- King Tutankhamun's Tomb.
3- Museums: over 15 museums that explain the Egyptian ancient & modern history
4- Playground
5- Bazaars
6- Art Center
7- Several cafeterias
