Tallinna Raeapteek on vanim samades ruumides jätkuvalt tegutsev apteek Euroopas. aastal ning sellel ajal oli apteegil juba kolmas omanik. Vanasti oli Raeapteek koht, kuhu sisse astuda, et teed või klaretti juua, uudiseid kuulata ja neid edasi jutustada. Täna tegutsevad Raeapteegi hoones apteek ja muuseum, kuhu uudistama ja klaretti maitsma on endiselt kõik oodatud. Raeapteegi muuseumist leiab eksp
onaatide seast ka keskajal müügis olnud kummalisi tooteid nagu põletatud mesilased, täku kabjad, valgeks pleegitatud koerafekaalid ja inimrasv. Mõned keskajal müüdavatest toodetest on apteegis müügil ka täna, sealhulgas martsipan, taimeteed ja tinktuurid. The Raeapteek (Town Hall Pharmacy) in Tallinn is the oldest pharmacy in Europe that has continuosly been in business in the same building. The exact opening date is not known, but it becomes evident from the documents of the town council that in 1422 the pharmacy already had its third owner. The Raeapteek used to be a place where people can have a cup of tea or a glass of claret, hear the news and pass these on to others. Today the building is shared by pharmacy and museum. Everybody is still welcome to come for claret tasting or just a tour in pharmacy and museum. In the museum you can find the products that were sold in the Middle Ages and also peculiar goods as burnt bees, stallion hoofs, blanched dog feaces and human fat. Some of the products that were sold during Medieval times are sold in the Raeapteek today. For example herbal teas, marzipan, tinctures and ointments.
