Kom med til åbning af udstillingen ’Nye muslimske hjem’, der undersøger, hvordan muslimske traditioner møder skandinavisk æstetik og giver form til nye identiteter.
I forbindelse med udstillingens åbning inviterer vi til talk med Maria Mawla, iværksætter og ejer af butikken Green Living på Nørrebro i København, og Maria Lyngsøe, postdoc på forskningsprojektet ’Pious Practices Among Danish Muslims’ fra Københavns Universitet. Samtalen modereres af museumsinspektør Emma Barnhøj Jeppesen. Efter samtalen er der mulighed for at opleve udstillingen og nyde let forplejning.

Join us for the opening of the exhibition ‘New Muslim Homes’, which explores how Muslim traditions meet Scandinavian aesthetics and give shape to new identities.
As part of the exhibition opening, we invite you to a talk with Maria Mawla, entrepreneur and owner of Green Living in Nørrebro, Copenhagen, and Maria Lyngsøe, postdoctoral researcher on the University of Copenhagen research project ‘Pious Practices Among Danish Muslims’. The conversation will be moderated by curator Emma Barnhøj Jeppesen. After the talk, you will have the opportunity to explore the exhibition and enjoy light refreshments.
The exhibition opening and talk will take place on 8 September at 4.30 PM at the Migration Museum of Denmark, Kulturtorvet 12, 3520 Farum. Free admission. Registration at [email protected].
