Today the 19 of September is the birthday of artist Stanislav Topchii. Congratulations! 💐✨🎨
🎨STANISLAV TOPCHIY (b.1974)
(also known as Stas Topchii) is a contemporary painter from Kyiv, Ukraine.
Born in 1974, in Yahotyn, Kyiv region, Stanislav got a classical fine arts education at The Taras Shevchenko State Art School and graduated from The National Academy of Arts and Architecture (both – city of Kyiv, Ukraine).
He is a bright representative of the new ‘independent’ generation of Ukrainian artists, who started their creative way together with the beginning of a new page in the history of the young independent state of Ukraine in the 1990s.
Stanislav has participated in the art exhibitions and art fairs since 1999. Today his numerous artworks are present at private collections all around the world: from the U.S., Canada, most European countries and the U.K., to Middle East and Asian countries, China, and Australia.
In particular, at least four or five paintings found new owners in Denmark.
‘Magic realism’ is the name given to Stanislav’s style by art critics and collectors. He masterfully unites classic oil painting approaches with multiple complex and experimental techniques, bringing that feel of ‘magic’, ancient legends, and fairy tales to the characters of his artworks.
Besides inventing the unique and recognizable style of painting, Stas also made numerous creative experiments in the areas of monumental art, interior painting, portraits, graphics, and illustrations for children’s books.
The artist currently lives and works in Kyiv.
