In 2014, Denmark became a world first 🇩🇰🎮
The entire country was recreated 1:1 in Minecraft by the Danish Geodata Agency, using an incredible 4 trillion blocks.

Built from real geodata, the map featured cities, trees, buildings, and landmarks, allowing players to explore every corner of Denmark’s 43,000 km². Uncompressed, the project totaled around 1 terabyte of data, making it the first full-scale country ever modelled in a video game.

Not even virtual Denmark was safe from mischief: on 7 May 2014, cyber vandals detonated dynamite in a small area of the map. Luckily, fellow players quickly rebuilt the damage.

🎬 The King of Stunts: Jackie Chan’s Officially Amazing Record

From Rush Hour to The Karate Kid, Jackie Chan (China) has spent more than six decades redefining action cinema.

On 5 December 2012, Guinness World Records officially honored him with the title “Most stunts performed by a living actor”, with 100 stunts completed at the time… and counting! And even after 13 years, he still holds this Officially Amazing record today.

🇩🇰 Record broken in Denmark (and it wasn’t a Dane!)

On 27 August 2025, Callum Hand (UK) set the official fastest crossing of Denmark on foot (male)*, completing the journey in an incredible 5 days, 8 hours, and 56 minutes. He started at the northern tip in Skagen and ran all the way to Padborg in the south: a distance of roughly 500 km on foot. 

Callum said he was inspired by the TV series Officially Amazing and chose Denmark as his next big challenge after previously running the full length of Britain. 

This wasn’t just a casual jog: maintaining pace day after day across beaches, forests, and open countryside requires huge physical strength, relentless mental grit, and expert planning for rest and nutrition.

Liesl Benecke, from Australia, holds the Guinness World Record for the largest collection of Minions memorabilia in the world, with 1,035 unique items spanning clothing, toys, posters and more. 

What began as a small passion after watching Despicable Me with her kids grew into a lifelong hobby over 15 years. Now “the Minion lady” surrounds herself with her favourite yellow characters in every room of her home. 

Her collection isn’t just about the numbers: it’s a colourful testament to joy, nostalgia and pure fandom.

🇩🇰 DANISH SKIPPER SETS A RECORD!

Danish skipper Lisa Rygaard Frost Kristensen took on a brand-new challenge and smashed it. She set the Guinness World Records title for the most double Dutch-style skips on all fours in one minute (female) with an incredible 58 skips 👏🏼.

At 42, Lisa has over 30 years of jump rope experience, collecting medals at national, European and world championships. Now she can proudly add Guinness World Records holder to the list 🏆

“I wanted to challenge myself in a new way,” Lisa said. “That’s why I decided to go for a Guinness World Records attempt.”

Lisa is one of the few record holders from Denmark, and there are more stories on the way. Stay tuned for more Danish records being broken! 🇩🇰

🇺🇸 MASSIVE CONGRATS TO MINNIE! 🐶
Big news from Connecticut: Minnie the Great Dane has been officially named the tallest living female dog in the world by Guinness World Records, standing 3 ft 2 in tall (96.52 cm) at the shoulders. 

What began as a tiny pup has turned into an incredible achievement. Her family even had to use peanut butter to keep her still for the official measurements! 

Minnie loves long walks, chasing frisbees, and playing with two toys at once, and she’s now a record-holder. 🏆
