Online or Face-to-face sessions during spring 💫 Links in bio 💫

We meet online or physically in Copenhagen and dive into your projects and dreams. We look at your practice. Together we set goals and deadlines.

For you to be committed, curious and open to pushing your creative boundaries, we ask questions like:
- Why – What – How – Who – When?

We aim to strengthen your creative integrity with practical tools by addressing vital aspects of the photographic process and content. Mediums and formats. Your story. Your presentation form – from book to installation. Your receiver & audience.

In our meetings we cover creative and completion issues like:

Editing the project, book, portfolio, text, video, artist statement, web, or other presentation forms.

We talk about future plans and investigate possibilities (networks, publishers, contacts, funding, programmes, national/international arenas, galleries, festivals, curators, etc.).

All of our cooperation is based on mutual trust and respect.

After ordering, I will write to you to schedule the first meeting.

You can also write to [email protected] if you have questions or want more information.

/Introducing Artist/
Sofus Ravn

***
Sofus Ravn (b. 1994, DK) works in an eclectic manner, integrating photography, drawing, sculpture, and installation. Engaging with childhood symbols, popular culture, and fragments of memory and loss, his practice negotiates the tension between the playful and the uncanny. Through collecting and recombining fragments -different elements and materials are allowed to coexist.

Ravn is finalising his MFA in Photography at Academy of Art and Design, HDK-Valand in Gothenburg 2026.

***

“Sofus Ravn is the most authentic artist I know. There is no filter, no “smartthinking”. He is pure heart and soul.
The first time I experienced his works I was deeply moved. I could sence something terrible had happened, a huge loss in his life.

In this site specific exhibition he is working expressively with a diversity of materials - photographs, collages, texts, sculptures, drawings, paintings and sketchbooks - in an aesthetic eldorado of dark, light and colors. The house, the child, playful joy, fairytales, love stories, dreams, youth, sexuality, bodies, and beauty, but also fear, anger, violence, nightmares, and death. It is all there.
We can all relate to his works in one way or another. Because it is about being human.”

The Process of Creating a Photobook 💫💫💫 We have been planning this for a while and are thrilled to offer an intense workshop with two experienced and very passionate creators, mediators, and mentors in the field of photobook 📕

Graphic Designer
Artist and Curator

The workshop is for all working on a project/series, wanting to realise it into the format of a book. Bring your images and we will dive into them with you 💗

Four evenings in September/October in Nansensgade 10, Copenhagen K
Tuesday 23.9 - Thursday 25.9 - Monday 6.10 + Thursday 9.10
From 18-21 💫

The workshop will be held in English,
but both mentors also speak all the Scandinavian languages.

The aim with this workshop is to guide your ongoing project towards becoming a photobook. The workshop will be based on group feedback and 1:1 mentoring. During four intense evenings it will be all about the book as an object, narrative, editing, testing, sequencing, and flow. We will have open dialogues about how does the book promote the history of the content?
What do you want to tell? We will talk about layout and materiality. We will also briefly look into publishers - photobooks and artist books for inspiration on contenxt, material, and binding.

At the end of the workshop, we will make the content for the first pre-dummy in a simple form 💫💫

The workshop is open for all who has been working on a project for a while. The project can consist of a diversity of mediums and forms but is based in photography.

This workshop is process oriented – it will be more about the journey than finalising a photobook.

Registration as soon as possible – latest 20.9.
It is first to mill – max 8 participants.

For more info and registration - link in bio.

During all the meetings we will create an open, respectful, and trustful space where we can share and learn from each other. We promise you it will be an exciting journey into your universes and the amazing world of the photobook.

We look so much forward to get to know you and your stories! ❤️

Ps. Workshop in bookbinding coming up. Please let us know if you want to be on the invitation list.

Repost:
We are closing in on Fotobokfestival Oslo 2025 - with only a few weeks to go! 📚🥳

-

The 16th edition of the festival named ‘Kindred Spirits’ will take place at from 12-14 September, with an official opening on Friday 12 September at 4pm.

This year the festival is all about the book fair, a cornerstone in the distribution of both artist books and photobooks. Here we will gather publishers from Norway and different parts of Europe, who will present their newest titles and quite possibly your next favourite photobook.

We will also host an exciting program, including kick off week with satellites, book presentations, têtê-à-têtês, workshop and an open photobook library and exhibition of Hong Kong Photobook Dummy Award 2025.

-

In the coming weeks, we will share more details of what is coming. In the meantime, visit our website for more!
