Have you seen the new walls in Nordvestpassagen?
For now, we have to say goodbye to our walls in Mimersparken.
What was supposed to be one year of changing artworks turned into almost 2.5 years of art in Nordvestpassagen — far longer than we ever dreamed of.
We also want to send a big thank you to a true powerhouse, Mette Prag, who one day cycled past our walls in Westend and asked if a similar project could be created in Nørrebro.
In 2023, the first artworks were painted in connection with the opening of Nordvestpassagen, which was inaugurated by Sofie Hæstrup.
In total, we contributed to 25 walls of art, and we’re excited to see what the passage’s new chapter will look like. We are now looking forward to working on more great projects.
The biggest thanks go to all the talented artists who took part in the project: , , , , Storm , , , , , , , .reventlov , , , .tpn.gb , , .one , , , , , AIS crew, , , , , , , and Santex.
A huge thanks to Jonas Gammelgaard from the Technical and Environmental Administration, who has been a tremendous support — and to TMF for the great collaboration and for prioritising art in the city.
If you have a wall / gable / boat / train — you name it — that could be transformed into a street art gallery, don’t hesitate to contact us.
We have previously launched galleries at Hal 9 in Musicon, Roskilde, the old Grønttorvet, and of course our ongoing project in Westend on Vesterbro, which has already displayed more than 200 artworks .
See you out there!
Best, Copenhagen Walls I/S
