On the 1st of August 2018 the Museum Will Close at 15.00 hrs.
On the 1st of August 2018 the bicycle-race Post Nord "Tour of Denmark" will take place in and around Aalborg. The race will finish at Skydebanevej, where the museum is situated.
From 07.00 hrs. the finishing area for the race will be established at Skydebanevej. So there will be road signs by Vestre Fjordvej, indicating, that the road is closed. But there will still be access to the museum. Access from Mølholmsvej is not possible.
From 16.00 hrs. until 18.00 hrs. the whole area is closed and there will be no access to the museum.
So the museum will only be open from 10.00 hrs. until 15.00 on the 1st of August 2018

9. April 2015 was the 75 year for the Occupation of Denmark during the 2. World War. The day was marked in Aalborg Defence- and Garrison Museum with opening of af special exhibition named Occupation and Liberation. The exhibition was opened by former Danish Defence Minister Søren Gade and around 175 guests.
The special exhibition can be seen in the entire 2015 season and the museum looks forward to welcome you as our guests.

Aalborg Defence and Garrison Museum is now ready for another season. We will open the doors for guests tomorrow 1. April at 1000 hrs.
In 2015 we will focus on the Occupation and the Liberation of Denmark in 1940 and 1945 which will be marked with a special exebition with the official opening on 9. April.
We look forward to see you as our guests in the museum.

Aalborg Forsvars- og Garnisonsmuseum har bygget en udgave af den berømte Bailey Bro, der blev brugt under anden verdenskrig.

During the Winter vacation weeks (10th to 23rd of February 2014) the museum will be open every day from 10 pm to 4 am. In addition to the permanent exhibitions there will be special exhibitions of modern equipment and vehicles from the Army Logistic Regiment, Army Special Forces, Air Transport Wing Aalborg, Rescue Center Aalborg and the Home Guard.
Do not forget to bring warm clothes so that you can enjoy also the outdoor exhibitions.

The autumn vacation week is comming up. During the period 12th to 20th of October the Logistic Regiment in Aalborg display many of their modern vehicles.
On Tuesday 15th the Army Special Forces will display their equipment and special weapons. It will be possible to try to handle the weapons and talk with the special forces soldiers.
On Wednesday 16th Rescue Centre Aalborg will visit the museum and display the 30 metre tall ladder. The guests will get a chance to see the museum from above.
All the interesting permanent exhibitions are of course open to the guests. The museum has established many new exhibitions during 2013.
The museum is open every day from 10 am to 4 pm.

The museum is now ready to open the 12th season. The museum will open on 28th March and will be open every day until 31th of October. Opening hours every day 10 am to 4 pm, July and August until 5 pm.
There will be lots of new exhibitions and single items.
The museum is worth a visit for the Whole Family.

During the Winter vacation weeks the museum co-operation partners supportet with special exhibition. Thank you very much for that.
On the 21st of February the Aalborg Rescue Center demonstrated modern vehicles. For all who dared there was a possibility to see the museum outdoor exhibitions from above, as you can see from the picture

In week 8 (18th to 24th of February) there will be two special events at the museum. On Tuesday the 19th the army special forces will bring their exhibition of weapons and special equipment.
On Thursday the 21st the Aalborg Rescue Services will demonstrate some of their vehicles between 11 am and 2 pm.
