Happy birthday, Robert Jacobsen! 🤍 Today, the Danish painter, graphic artist, and sculptor would have turned 114. He remains one of Würth Collection’s key artistic positions, as his works define the landscape of the Würth Campus in Künzelsau for many years now.

Jacobsen also became name patron for the Robert Jacobsen Prize, awarded biennially by the Würth Foundation to outstanding contemporary artists.

Visit us this summer in Künzelsau and explore the exhibition of the 16th recipient Stella Hamberg, on view in the Würth Sculpture Garden and the Belvedere of Museum Würth 2 in Künzelsau! 🍃

Lang leben die Alten Meister der Sammlung Würth! 🎭 Gemeinsam mit Kunst- und Living-History-Expertinnen und Experten beleuchten wir in unserer wiederkehrenden „Mode und Stil“-Führung, in Kooperation mit dem Hällisch-Fränkischen Museum, Gewänder und Stoffe, ihre Farben und Formen – und was sie uns über die Protagonistinnen und Protagonisten der Alten Meister erzählen.

Who is behind these silvery tendrils that stretch skyward on the roundabouts just outside Museum Würth 2 in Künzelsau, part of our Würth Sculpture Garden?

The German artist's distinctive style hovers between architecture and organic sculpture, infusing a dance-like movement into the static material. Her artworks range in size, from monumental to smaller sculptures, more of her artworks are currently also on display in the exhibition "The Principle of Transformation - Gertrude Reum. Würth Collection and Loans" at Museum Würth.

Was glaubt ihr, wie lange können Tiere für ein Stillleben still sitzen? Und wie würde das Kunstwerk aussehen, wenn die Tiere die Geduld verlieren und das Bild einfach verlassen würden? 🐾 Diese Fragen stellten die Lehrerinnen der Klassen 3A und 3B der Bodenwaldschule Winnenden ihren Schülerinnen und Schülern beim genauen Betrachten des Stilllebens von Nadin Maria Rüfenacht. Die Antwort auf die zwei Fragen findet ihr in der aktuellen Ausstellung „Tierisch was los!“ in der Hirschwirtscheuer in Künzelsau. So blieben die Tiere, wie oft auch die Kinder der Schulklassen im Unterricht, nicht still sitzen, sondern sind abgehauen. Was bleibt sind die bunten Früchte und viele wilde Fußspuren.

What do you think: how long can animals sit still for a still life painting? And what would the artwork look like if the animals lost patience and simply walked out of the picture? 🐾 These are the questions the teachers of classes 3A and 3B at Bodenwaldschule Winnenden asked their students as they took a close look at Nadin Maria Rüfenacht’s still life. You can find the answer to these two questions in the current exhibition “Having a wild time!” at the Hirschwirtscheuer in Künzelsau. Just like the children in class often can’t sit still either, the animals in their artwork didn’t stay put, they escaped. What remains are the colorful fruits and lots of wild footprints.
