Запрошуємо на відкриту панельну дискусію: «Чому світ має говорити про викрадену українську спадщину вже сьогодні?»

Під час дискусії поговоримо про:

— культуру як інструмент міжнародної адвокації України;
— цифровізацію як спосіб збереження культурної пам’яті;
— культурну деколонізацію та імперську політику Росії;
— роль молоді, діаспори та міжнародних спільнот у культурній адвокації.

We were happy to become part of MetaKhata — Ukrainian online metaverse conferences dedicated to career development, creativity, and technology.

For us, it was an important opportunity to speak about the Museum of Stolen Art not only as a digital exhibition space, but also as an advocacy initiative that helps preserve the memory of stolen, destroyed, and damaged Ukrainian cultural heritage.

We were deeply touched by the attention, thoughtful conversations, and the many positive responses we received. Thank you to everyone who joined us during the event, asked questions, and participated in the guided tour.

The event will be held in Ukrainian.

A guided tour for diplomacy and advocacy professionals

If you like our project but still do not fully understand how it can be used for your own international advocacy, we invite you to join our meeting.

The Museum of Stolen Art is a digital space featuring 3D reconstructions of stolen, destroyed, and damaged objects of Ukrainian cultural heritage affected by the war.

We will talk about how the Museum of Stolen Art’s metaverse space can become a tool for your international presentations, lectures, advocacy events, cooperation with foreign partners, and public diplomacy.

The event will be held in Ukrainian 🇺🇦

You will also have a short guided tour of the museum space and a presentation of our new educational project for young people. Event participants will be the first to access registration.

When: April 25 at 11:00 (Kyiv time)
Where: The Museum of Stolen Art metaverse space on the Spatial platform

We’re looking for you!

The Museum of Stolen Art is looking for new team members to join the project for the next stage of its development.

Our project works at the intersection of culture and cutting-edge technology, dedicated to raising international awareness about the restitution and reparations of Ukraine’s cultural heritage that has been damaged, looted, or destroyed during the full-scale war.

We are currently opening three positions:
• Project Manager
• Communications Manager
• Project Assistant (Volunteer, Fundraising & Partnerships)

We are looking for people who are as passionate and curious as we are, and who want to contribute to a unique project working at the intersection of art, research, and advocacy.

In February, Dana Biruk , Resource Development Manager, participated in the Residency “Cultural Co-action” in Lviv.

The programme, organised by the Department of Culture of the Lviv City Council .cult.lviv together with UNBROKEN University , enabled direct engagement with cultural institutions and models of community-based development.

We visited leading cultural institutions:
• Jam Factory Art Center .artcenter;
• Lviv Cultural Hub ;
• Solomiya Krushelnytska Music Memorial Museum ;
• Lviv Concert House ;
• Mono Space ;
• Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life named after Clementii Sheptytskyi ;
• Lesya Ukrainka National Academic Drama Theater;
• Mercury Art Center .artcenter.

Additionally, participants visited the rehabilitation centre UNBROKEN .ukraine.

We also met with the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi , and presented our digital exhibition space in a brief conversation about the role of digital tools in attracting resources and supporting the city’s development.

The residency illustrated that only in synergy – municipal institutions, private patrons, and international partners – can we create conditions where culture develops.

Culture plays a vital role in post-war recovery, both at the individual level and in the broader process of restoring a sense of justice.
