Fotogalerie Friedrichshain LOST AND FOUND eine Ausstellung mit der Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie.

Ausstellung: 02.10.2026 - 13.11.2026
Ausgangspunkt des Seminars war die Auseinandersetzung mit dem Archiv der eigenen Familie
- in Form von Fotoalben, chaotischen Nachlässen, einer erzählten oder auch einer verschwiegenen Familiengeschichte.

Die Teilnehmer*innen zeigen sehr persönliche Annäherungen in Form von neuen Zusammenstellungen, Montagen, Kollagen oder neu Fotografiertem. Ihnen allen gemein ist die Frage, wie Herkunft die Identität des Einzelnen ebenso wie die kollektive Erinnerung prägt.

HIMMEL UNTER BERLIN takes you deep beneath the city: through dark catacombs, forgotten machine halls and spaces never meant for outside eyes. Within these hidden layers, eleven international artists create light and sound installations.

It took three years of searching for a location for Himmel unter Berlin. Now the exhibition returns to the cellar network of an abandoned engine factory.

Tickets went live 24 hours ago. Already half sold out.

Imagine yourself in a red bar. Atmospheric music surrounds you, a drink is handed to you. A person leads you to an old cabinet. Inside: a hidden door.
Behind it begins a journey into the foundation of the city.
Deep into the minds of artists who guide you through a dark labyrinth.

Berlin was once a promise that smelled of old industrial buildings, basements, and dark machine halls. Heaven Beneath Berlin brings this back. A web of vaulted cellars.
Something between an exhibition and an underground gathering, like Berlin in the ,90s. Raw, cold, improvised.

SURFACE — A Collective Exhibition During Berlin Art Week

SURFACE brings together 11 artists exploring texture, pattern, material and form through a diverse collection of contemporary works. The exhibition features ceramics, sculptural wall pieces, paper art, prints and mixed-media works, creating a dialogue between tactile surfaces and the spaces they inhabit.

Taking place during Berlin Art Week, SURFACE invites visitors to discover the different ways artists transform everyday materials into objects that are both visually striking and deeply tactile.

We are looking forward to the opening of „Demolition/Escape“ at Fluentum, on April 28, 2026. Bringing together three artists whose work with video and sound shares a concern with movement, risk and inversion, the exhibition features Tina Keane’s
„Escalator“ (1988), fully restored and exhibited for the first time in over thirty years, alongside newly commissioned works by Hilary Lloyd and James Richards.

In „Escalator“, reversal and replay estrange familiar gestures from habitual meaning and lend everyday movement new symbolic weight. Inversion operates here, and in the practices of Lloyd and Richards in different ways, as a critical method.
