Der BBA Photography Prize 2026 steht vor der Tür! Wir laden euch herzlich ein, die beeindruckenden Werke unserer 15 Shortlist-Fotograf:innen in der .gallery zu entdecken.

Das Herzstück unseres Wochenendes? Die Lavazza Lounge. Hier trifft kuratierte Kunst auf gelebte „Italianità“ - ein Lebensgefühl voller Energie, Offenheit und Genuss. In der Lounge verschmelzen Tradition und Innovation bei einem perfekten Caffè zu einem Dialog zwischen den Generationen und Perspektiven.

Ein besonderes Highlight erwartet euch am Samstagabend: Gemeinsam mit unserem Partner verleihen wir den prestigetrachtigen Lavazza Blend Forward Award. Ein Sonderpreis für ein Talent, das mutig Grenzen überschreitet und neue Wege wagt.

Come join us next Thursday, 30 April, 6-9 pm for the opening of ‚This House Has People in It,‘ a group show curated by Isabella Zamboni and Francesco Tenaglia.

Featuring works by Adam Gordon, Brad Kronz, Louise Lawler, Giulia Piscitelli, and Andrea Romano. With a text by Ruby Bilger.

We are looking forward to the opening of „Demolition/Escape“ at Fluentum, on April 28, 2026. Bringing together three artists whose work with video and sound shares a concern with movement, risk and inversion, the exhibition features Tina Keane’s
„Escalator“ (1988), fully restored and exhibited for the first time in over thirty years, alongside newly commissioned works by Hilary Lloyd and James Richards.

In „Escalator“, reversal and replay estrange familiar gestures from habitual meaning and lend everyday movement new symbolic weight. Inversion operates here, and in the practices of Lloyd and Richards in different ways, as a critical method.

Galerie Brockstedt has a storied tradition spanning over sixty years as a family-owned enterprise and has devoted itself since its establishment in 1957 to modernist and contemporary painting and sculpture.

The gallery’s Berlin branch, headed by Boris Brockstedt, was opened in 1992 to complement the original headquarters in Hamburg. In the future Brockstedt will serve as chief executive of the company from Berlin.
The gallery provides a full range of services, including consulting and assistance in buying and selling artworks, building collections, gathering expertise and managing estates.

The show features new works by ten emerging Berlin-based artists developed over the course of their two-year participation in BPA// Berlin program for artists. The exhibition takes place in the KW front house and at Kunst Raum Mitte .

is delighted to announce Alice Z Jones‘ first solo exhibition at the gallery, titled „Madness is a Shadow Chasing Freedom“!

Please join them for the opening on December 4, 2025, from 6 - 9 p.m.

Alice Z Jones is a British-Jamaican artist. She lives and works in Berlin. Jones draws from both European tradition and the traditions of Black and Caribbean Diasporas - negotiating lost histories, imposed histories, institutional invisibility, identities and mis-/ representation. Jones works with a diverse variety of media including printmaking, painting, textiles, sculpture and sound. Earlier this year, she graduated with an MA in Fine Art from the University of the Arts Berlin.

BEYOND THE LITERAL is an invitation to explore how each artist in our collective approaches the world. We work in different mediums, from visual art, fashion, and music — the lens for which we view our lives. We invite you to come share in this collective vision and support artists to create more.
