🏆 🖼️on thursday was the great opening of the exhibition BALANCED including the works of the ➡️ paper art awards 2024 ⬅️ at Berlin.

the exhibition is not only presenting the new acquisitions of the paper art award, but also four new positions as part of the „Paper Future Lab“ cultural concept.

Every year we honour artists who deal with the medium of paper in a unique and outstanding way 🤓 Thanks to , 'mage and three paper art award prices are presented at our fair. This year the bronze price was awarded to sato with Rikuo Ueda and Hiroyuki Abe, and also to with Noriko Ambe, the silver price went to with Leonie Mertes and gold to with Asareh Akasheh

yesterday was a wonderful first day, during which we were already able to award two prizes 👀
the best booth award sponsored by leue&nill went to thole rotermund & anne schwarz 🎉
and the paper art award, presented by the Haus des Papiers was awarded to several positions by mikiko sato gallery, heike strelow, schulthess collection and aoa;87 ✨. congratulations! 🎀

Since 2019, paper positions berlin has been presenting the paper positions award wich is since 2023 co-hosted by the Kaiserwetter agency. The award, which is given exclusively to female artists, recognizes an outstanding contemporary position on the subject of drawing and the medium of paper and includes a special presentation in the following year.

This Years Award Date: FRIDAY 26 april at 5 pm

🏆 At this year's paper positions berlin we will once again present different awards with our partners.

The second one is the paper art award presented at the fair THURSDAY 25 April at 7.30 pm 💥 The Paper Art Award is sponsored and made possible by Canon, d’mage and Hahnemühle. It's awarded annually and honors artists who deal with the material paper in an outstanding, stimulating and independent way. A selection of works by the award winners will be purchased for the collection of the paper art museum “Haus des Papiers” in Berlin, with a total purchase value of 36.000 Euro.

Winners 2023 - gold. Ursula Sax (Semjon Contemporary) / silver. shared by Gisoo Kim (mianki) and Amparo Sard (Galerie Anita Beckers) / bronze. Brian Dettmer (Gallery Commeter) and Taniguchi Kenichiro (Mikiko Sato Gallery).

Did you know that Bavaria houses one of Germany's oldest printing offices? 📜 The „Druckerei des Bayerischen Staats“ (Bavarian State Printing Office) has an impressive history of producing documents and publications on paper. From legal texts to government documents, this historical heritage plays a significant role in spreading knowledge and culture. 🏛️

We are all the more pleased to be able to show art made of paper in such a historic place. From 20-22 october 2023 the show for works on paper will take place again at Karl&Faber in the heart of Munich! 🥨🍺

🌞 𝙴𝚡𝚑𝚒𝚋𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝚘𝚏 𝙵𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚗𝚍𝚜 ✌️

Ronewa Art Projects (Berlin), in collaboration with O Gallery (Tehran), is pleased to announce their first joint exhibition titled "A Journey Through Nature's Papers." Curated by Orkideh Daroodi, this exhibition features 29 captivating by six talented Iranian artists, with an opening reception on Thursday, August 3, from 18:00 to 20:00. Each work by the participating artists offers a unique perspective on the theme of nature and landscape.

The works collectively become visual metaphors, not only evoking a sense of curiosity but also inviting the viewers to delve into their own memories, emotions and reflections, contemplating their own perspective and connections to nature. By layering personal experiences with natural imagery, a rich tapestry is created for introspection and dialogue.

This exhibition is the first collaboration between Ronewa Art Projects, Berlin and O Gallery, Tehran with works selected by Orkideh Daroodi.

paper positions pursues the idea of an art salon in the form of art fairs. Founded as a special format of the POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair in Berlin, paper positions now also takes place in Basel, Frankfurt and Munich. International galleries present artworks out of, with and on paper - including drawings, collages, paintings, objects, photographs, artist's books and autographs. Paper positions offers established and prospective collectors, as well as other artloving visitors, a broad spectrum of high-quality contemporary, modern, and 19th-century art. The fair's focus is less about high prices or renown names than of special artistic positions and the opportunity to make discoveries. Exhibitors are attracted by the fair as it offers a extensive and affordable package that allows them to experiment and to present also young artists. paper positions presents an exciting dialogue with artworks by already well-known artists that wait to be rediscovered. The unconventional nature of this fair is also reflected in the fair architecture. There are deliberately no booths.
