“Brightly lit hands holding a smartphone also form the centre of Girl You Can’t Post That (2025). Eight figures are gathered around a wooden table. Perhaps there are ten, perhaps less. Some appear only as shadows, others are transparent, and of some we only see individual body parts. Their faces are drawn from art history, pop culture, and the digital world: Botticelli, Kim Kardashian, Caravaggio, Anastasia from Disney’s Cinderella, Modigliani. Tall cocktail glasses are standing on the table; the yellow of the lemon slices stands out from the blood-red of the drinks. The image on the smartphone screen remains hidden from us. We can only see what it does to the figures: The Caravaggio-esque youth with the fragmented body is completely absorbed in the content. The figure reminiscent of Kim Kardashian pushes her index finger between her parted lips in a mixture of scepticism and coquettishness. Anastasia’s eyes are wide open. The Botticelli-esque figures are genuinely focused on the scene. The Modigliani-esque woman observes motionlessly; her hand, with its manneristic long index finger, rests against her face as if she had forgotten it there while being focused on the screen.”

On Saturday, 20th June 2026, Galerie Russi Klenner is pleased to present ‘One Third of Heaven’, the first solo exhibition by artist .alphonse.art at the gallery.

Austin Alphonse’s debut exhibition takes its title from a pivotal moment in John Milton’s ‘Paradise Lost’, in which Lucifer rallies a third of Heaven’s angels into rebellion, only to be cast into the depths of hell. Milton’s enduring provocation lies not in the fall itself, but in its psychology: his devil is a tragic figure of interior conflict and self-deception, rebellious and proud. Alphonse’s figures inhabit a similarly unstable moral terrain, shaped by broken systems, confused identities, blind loyalty, and false idols, moving through complex landscapes in search of belonging.

The exhibition will run through 01st August 2026. For further information, please contact the gallery at [email protected].

See you on the 20th of June, at 7 PM!

“The work Queen of Hearts, which lends the exhibition its title, brings together in an amalgam of hand mirror and chalice with poison-green liquid not only container and reflection, but also Disney’s Snow White’s stepmother (Chaotic evil!) and Kim Kardashian (GOAT) in the form of overlapping, fragmented faces. The influencer and businesswoman Kim Kardashian has set new standards in beauty and fashion through skilful social media marketing and is considered a contemporary icon. Snow White’s stepmother personifies jealousy and malice. She hates her reflection; Kardashian sells hers. Both are part of a toxic mixture of beauty and power.

The mirror has long served in literature and art as an ambivalent symbol of identity-seeking and self-knowledge, but also of vanity and illusion. In Lewis Carroll’s Through the Looking-Glass it embodies a portal between reality and fiction. Through the interlocking of pictorial layers and motifs, Queen of Hearts deconstructs identities and reveals the complex relationship between inner and outer world, self-perception and the perception of others in the digital age.”

We are thrilled to announce that Galerie Russi Klenner now represents !

Based in Berlin, Raphaël Fischer-Dieskau works across sound, light, sculpture, and ArtScience. His practice investigates how technological systems shape the human condition, interweaving forms of traditional knowledge with new technologies to explore themes of identity, detachment, and the erosion of collective belief. Drawing on religious iconography and ecological narratives, his installations probe the invisible structures of power and meaning that organise contemporary life, questioning what forms of belonging and ritual persist in an age defined by technological mediation.

Today also marks the final day of Raphaël Fischer-Dieskau’s residency at SchUM UNESCO World Heritage Site (.schum )

We warmly congratulate him on this important journey and are excited to welcome him to the gallery’s roster of represented artists!

On view at the gallery

’s exhibition ‘Queen of Hearts’ welcomes visitors with an immersive aesthetic experience of green artificial grass and pink walls. Hearts, roses, flamingos, and smartphones drift across the canvases as recurring motifs, here and there familiar faces. Swans pose in a state of metamorphosis. The site-specific installation the artist designed for her solo exhibition at Galerie Russi Klenner draws on the animated universe of Disney’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’ (1951), which she also integrates into her new paintings.

By interweaving fiction, myths, and fairy tales with fragments of reality from the digital realm, she develops unflinching reflections: between self-staging and external control, between the desire for authenticity and the construction of a perfect facade. Her art becomes a seismograph of an era in which the boundaries between reality and simulation blur, and in which painting itself resists the transience of the digital.

On April 30th 2026, Galerie Russi Klenner is pleased to present Queen of Hearts, the fourth solo exhibition by gallery artist Zohar Fraiman. ( )

Queen of Hearts explores the concept of likes and loves in the digital age. Its title draws inspiration from the iconic Queen in Alice in Wonderland, with recurring motifs from Disney’s animated adaptation woven throughout the show. At its core, the exhibition focuses on hearts, red roses, and ruling queens, reimagined as today’s influencers and successful figures of social media culture. Love has been transformed online into a contemporary digital symbol: the heart, one of the most desired forms of validation. Receiving a heart, a “like,” has come to stand in for something the heart once carried differently: love, passion, and emotional depth. Today, influencers, posts, and stories are measured by the number of likes they receive. What do we do now to be loved online? And who is today’s contemporary Queen of Hearts?

The exhibition will run through 13th June 2026. For further information, please contact the gallery at [email protected].
