iMiTeLex is the art- avatar of the actor and performer Michail Fotopoulos.

iMiTeLex is the art avatar of the artist Michail Fotopoulos. When i was a kid my dad told me that i was not drawing good. After many years i realised that he was right. But i discover in my paintings something that triggered me a lot.I have no words to tell what is triggering me to continue this process . imitelex is Art.During the lockdown I realised that I cannot live without Art and all my life is based on Art.Every time I couldn’t communicate with the people always I turned my soul and my body into Art.sometimes I gained to receive answers or questions through a therapeutic way.A mirrorless conversation with myself. An urgent way to communicate my feelings and and my view of this world with you.

Various collages · Mixed media

I kept thinking about all the leftovers from my paintings—paper roll scraps, dried paint, pieces usually treated as waste. I didn’t want to throw them away.

So I began creating new collages from them, small and large. A sustainable process, but also a practical one. I can’t always afford new canvases, and this pushed me to work differently.

Nothing wasted. Everything transformed.
