‼️ Daniela byla dcerou Grety Tugendhatové, rozené Löw-Beerové, která se narodila ve Svitávce v tzv. Malé vile.
Rodina Löw-Beerů patřila k nejvýznamnějším textilním podnikatelům v našem regionu a jejich příběh je neoddělitelně spjat se Svitávkou i s Brnem. Greta Tugendhatová byla majitelkou slavné vily Tugendhat, památky světového dědictví UNESCO.

Daniela Hammer-Tugendhat (2. srpna 1946 – 17. září 2025)🕯️
S velkým zármutkem jsme přijali od rodiny Tugendhat zprávu, že nás navždy opustila profesorka Daniela Hammer-Tugendhat.
Nejmladší dcera Grety a Fritze Tugendhatových se narodila 2. srpna 1946 ve venezuelském hlavním městě Caracasu, kam byli její rodiče nuceni emigrovat před nacistickým režimem. Daniela studovala dějiny umění a klasickou archeologii na univerzitách v Bernu a ve Vídni. V roce 1975 promovala u profesora Otto Pöchta ve Vídni prací, ve které se věnovala historické interpretaci principů rozvržení malby nizozemského malíře Hieronyma Bosche. Po habilitaci na Oldenburské univerzitě v roce 1993 následně od roku 1994 začala spolupracovat s Vídeňskou univerzitou a stala se taktéž stálou profesorkou na Univerzitě užitého umění ve Vídni.
Jedním z hlavních témat její rozsáhlé pedagogické, přednáškové a publikační činnosti byla otázka genderu a feminismu v dějinách umění. Právě za tuto činnost jí byla v roce 2009 udělena prestižní rakouská Státní cena Gabriely Possaner.
Nedocenitelný byl přínos Daniely Hammer-Tugendhat k památkové obnově vily Tugendhat. Právě nejmladší dcera Daniela doprovázela svoji matku Gretu do Brna v roce 1969, kdy měla možnost poprvé navštívit jejich rodinnou vilu. Zároveň si vyslechla matčinu zásadní přednášku o vile, kterou vyvrcholila výstava díla Ludwiga Miese van der Rohe, uspořádaná v Domě umění v Brně. Společně s manželem Ivo Hammer-Tugendhatem se stala hlavním mluvčím rodiny Tugendhat v otázkách její ochrany a budoucího využití a aktivně se spolupodíleli na procesu památkové obnovy. Tématu vily Tugendhat se Daniela Hammer-Tugendhat věnovala v řadě publikací, přednášek a článků. Dalším z řady ocenění byla v roce 2015 Cena města Brna v kategorii mezinárodní spolupráce.

Daniela Hammer-Tugendhat (2 August 1946 – 17. September 2025)🕯️
It is with great sadness that we have received the news from the Tugendhat family that Professor Daniela Hammer-Tugendhat has left us.
The youngest daughter of Greta and Fritz Tugendhat was born on August 2, 1946 in the Venezuelan capital Caracas, where her parents were forced to emigrate to escape the N**i regime. Daniela studied art history and classical archaeology at the universities of Bern and Vienna. In 1975, she graduated with Professor Otto Pöcht in Vienna with a thesis on the historical interpretation of the principles of painting layout by the Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch. After her habilitation at the University of Oldenburg in 1993, she subsequently began working with the University of Vienna in 1994 and also became a permanent professor at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
One of the main themes of her extensive teaching, lecturing and publishing activities was the question of gender and feminism in the history of art. It was for this work that she was awarded the prestigious Austrian Gabriela Possaner State Prize in 2009.
Daniela Hammer-Tugendhat's contribution to the restoration of Villa Tugendhat was invaluable. It was the youngest daughter Daniela who accompanied her mother Greta to Brno in 1969, when she had the opportunity to visit the family villa for the first time. At the same time, she listened to her mother's seminal lecture on the villa, the culmination of an exhibition of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's work at the Brno House of Arts. Together with her husband Ivo Hammer-Tugendhat, she became the main spokesperson for the Tugendhat family on the issues of its protection and future use, and actively participated in the restoration process. The topic of Villa Tugendhat has been the subject of numerous publications, lectures and articles by Daniela Hammer-Tugendhat. Another of the many awards was the 2015 Brno City Prize in the category of international cooperation.
