The Amber Umbrella is one of the most self-speaking drawings by Kirill Postovit that we have on display at the Katie Feygie Art Gallery this season. Set within a sparse urban composition, the artwork captures the fleeting rhythm of city life through expressive line work and minimal gesture. The warm amber umbrella interrupts an otherwise monochromatic environment, acting almost like a suspended streetlight against the cool anonymity of the city. In the upper fragment, the cafe interior introduces a secondary narrative space - intimate, illuminated, and momentary, contrasting with the solitary movement of the figure. The artwork is beautifully framed, has been previously exhibited at the artist's personal exhibitions, and comes with an authenticity certificate and a value letter. If you are looking for a smaller, yet collectible artwork, this timeless art piece could be the one. Visit us today and immerse yourself in the world of local contemporary art!

Welcoming the Shabbat - one of the most intersting diptych artwork by Kirill Postovit, currently on display at the Katie Feygie Art Gallery as a part of our September Art Collection. In Welcoming the Shabbat, Kirill Postovit explores sacred ritual and spiritual transition through a deeply narrative, mystical lens. The artwork captures the quiet threshold of Friday evening, blending Symbolism and Jewish folklore to depict the profound psychological and spiritual shift into a day of rest. The welcoming of Shabbat beautifully showcases Postovit’s affinity for allegorical narrative. Rather than a static religious illustration, the piece feels like a living memory or a dream. Through bold, gestural draftsmanship and minimal but highly intentional color accents, Postovit transforms a familiar domestic tradition into a universal story of sanctuary, peace, and spiritual homecoming. These artworks explore welcoming Shabbat from two angles, the feminine and masculine, through the lens of an open window. The size of each drawing is 29.7 x 21 cm, while the framed size of the diptych is 48 x 68 x 3.5 cm. The artwork is hand-signed by the artist and comes with an authenticity certificate and value letter. Belonging to one of the most well-known series by the artist, Welcoming the Shabbat, pays tribute to one of the most spiritual and sacred moments in Jewish life.
