Fotograf Zone Festival closes with Asphalt Lovers, a performance by azolla.collective. ❤️‍🔥

Through embodied knowledge, openness and entanglement with more-than-human entities, the collective explores ways of shaping, sharing and cohabiting the world together.

Azolla Collective was founded in 2025 by performers Lucie Vrbíková and Adina Voldrábová.

What does it really mean to be the Vltava’s neighbour? 🦦

Come and find out at our final workshop led by & ResisTerra, held right on the riverbank!

Together we’ll ask where the river ends and where we begin, what the Vltava’s life story is, and how it shapes the lives of the people who live beside it. Expect drawing, conversation and imagination, and perhaps a slightly different view of the river you walk past every day.

Come spend some time with a book at the Fotograf Zone Gallery reading room.

On 7 October, the programme begins at 4 PM with a reading by Kateřina Vídenová.

From 5 PM, Markéta Kinterová will continue with a selection of books from the reading room and an invitation to settle in with a book of your own.

In addition to its own extensive programme, the festival also presents a Parallel Programme developed in collaboration with partner institutions 🖇️.

As part of this initiative, Fotograf Zone works with THE DESIGN , Ateliér Josefa Sudka, UPM Museum of Decorative Arts, Galerie Fotografic, Centrum pro současné umění Praha, Galerie 35M2, GAMU and Studio PRÁM .

The aim is to mutually support the programmes of independent cultural organisations and strengthen the contemporary visual arts scene❤️‍🩹.

A little sneak peek at what you can look forward to as part of Fotograf Zone Festival at the Botanical Garden of Charles University.

The outdoor exhibition Photosynthesis 🐌 presents work by students of the AAF FUD UJEP, inspired by a conservation programme for endangered plant species.

Working in creative pairs, the students reflect on the work of botanical gardens🌵 and explore the theme through a range of approaches – from fading Polaroids capturing the life cycle of plants and fictional models of flora to underwater photographs and portraits of botanical garden staff in metaphorical costumes.

Elpida invites you 👋🏻 to Voices of Older Generations, a screening of photographs created by participants in its photography course, led by Viktor Chomiak.

The evening will continue with an open discussion about photography, relationships between people, nature, and the world around us.

The event is open to everyone, regardless of age! 👵🏻

Elpida | společně měníme stáří v Česku is a Czech non-profit organisation that has been supporting active and dignified ageing for more than 20 years through educational, cultural, and community programmes for older adults.

Join Jakub Tulinger and Lucie Šroglová for a group cycling 🚴 tour from Holešovická tržnice to Fotograf Zone Gallery for the opening of Jochen Lempert’s exhibition.

The route will take us through Prague, with stops at several galleries participating in the Parallel programme of Fotograf Festival 2026.

If you do not usually feel comfortable cycling in Prague, this is an opportunity to ride along a planned route as part of a group! 💓
