Bonsai as chinese, japanese art has a lot to do with Taoism, Buddhism, Shinto, Zen. And in Shinto and Zen, human beings receive spirit from nature... We are never separated from nature, we are not above, we are part of this whole....actually, we think we are in nature but the deep truth is that we are nature or the nature Is deep in us... Same deep essence as nature: eternity and impermanence.
We live in all things
All things live in us
In time's descent,
An hour rolls after another hour,
A day after another day,
A night after another night,
A month after another month.
My despair, my concern, my pain
Just as homeless Child,
Animal in this borderless planet,
Or universal nature, energy,
Spiritual body, soul incarnation,
Or whatever I would be,
They might interest no one,
While everyone has got their own,
Humanity is always
More and bigger than me…
We live in all things
All things live in us
Years flow just like river waters,
Sky clouds, rains, snow, winds and tides,
Descending mountains, crossing valleys,
Over stones and over falls,
Looking for common meaning,
The origin, a common destiny,
looking for the eternal nature,
Longing for the eternal seas.
We live in all things
All things live in us
They flow just like all the cosmic energy
Looking for balance, in fullness or emptiness,
Yin-yang, opposite complementarity,
OM, milieu divin, sacred Qi.
We live in all things
All things live in us
In them, everything wants to flow,
Everything wants to be,
We look for the magnificent Gold Dragons,
We look for the immortal Fengs,
Both Omen foretelling happiness,
Both omen foretelling harmony.
We live in all things
All things live in us
We, just holly moons of this Celestial Carousel,
In which we apparently go around and around,
Such subtle chain of countless rings
“Here we are, here we go, as Emerson says
The next unto the farthest brings,
We live in all things
All things live in us
And we mankind, star powder,
Or just universe energy
We may languish, wither or flourish,
Water, light, body life…
And again and again, we will return
To the source, to the wellsprings
We live in all things
All things live in us
