Hope you'll join the exciting new events on our new page: RASBJ Royal Asiatic Society Beijing! The Royal Asiatic Society China, Beijing aims to bring China and the world together by offering:

-- Talks on books, art, dance, cinema, and other apects of Chinese culture, including issues impacting Beijing.
-- Expert-led tours of museums, exhibitions and historical venues in Beijing and other

parts of China.
-- Archives of printed and audio-visual material (and a few curiosities) related to significant interactions between Chinese and the non-Chinese world.
-- Dialogues on culture, society, philosophy and science.
-- The Journal and Monographs, published by the Royal Asiatic Society China. The Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland was founded in London in 1823. It has affiliated societies throughout Asia and is reknowned for its contributions over almost 200 years to knowledge and scholarship in science, literature and the arts of Asia. The Royal Asiatic Society China was active as a branch of the Royal Asiatic Society from 1857 to 1952, and was revived in 2006 with chapters and Shanghai and Suzhou. RAS Beijing was established in April 2013 as a chapter of the Royal Asiatic Society China. RAS Beijing has the British Ambassador to China as Patron, with an advisory group from China's business and policy communities, and a core team responsible for implementation. It is an independent non-profit volunteer organisation.
