📸 Retour en images sur la conférence-débat tenue ce lundi 04 mai au Musée national du Cameroun, dans le cadre de la 140ᵉ édition de la Fête du Travail.
Autour du thème « Dialogue social et travail décent : facteurs de paix, de cohésion sociale et de développement économique de l’entreprise », les échanges ont mis en lumière la valeur du travail comme levier d’épanouissement personnel, de citoyenneté et de construction nationale.

La 21e promotion de l’École Supérieure Internationale de Guerre du Cameroun (ESIG) a visité le Musée national du Cameroun, ce vendredi 17 avril 2026.

Conduite par le colonel MBOLE Alphonse Cyril, cette visite visait à faire découvrir aux étudiants militaires internationaux la richesse et la diversité du patrimoine culturel camerounais.

La soixantaine d’étudiants militaires a été accueillie à l’entrée par le Directeur du Musée national, Monsieur ETTA OJANG Ivan, puis guidée à travers les expositions par les médiateurs culturels de l’institution.

🤝 Un bel exemple de dialogue entre culture et diplomatie militaire.

The 21st batch of Cameroon’s International War College (ESIG) visited the National Museum of Cameroon this Friday, April 17, 2026.

Led by Colonel MBOLE Alphonse Cyril, the visit aimed to showcase Cameroon’s rich and diverse cultural heritage to international military students.

More than 60 military students were welcomed at the entrance by the Director of the Museum, Mr. ETTA OJANG Ivan, and guided through the exhibits by the Museum’s cultural mediators.

🇨🇲🇨🇳H.E. XU Yong, the Chinese Ambassador to Cameroon Ambassade de Chine au Cameroun visited the National Museum of Cameroon in Yaoundé.🪄

✍🏼The visit, which took place this Friday, April 10, 2026, was an opportunity for the distinguished guest to savor Cameroon’s rich and diverse cultural heritage on display at the museum.

✍🏼The diplomat was accompanied during the tour by the museum's Director, ETTA OJANG Ivan.

💫National Museum Staff Trained in Conservation, Tour Guiding, Documentation techniques. 💫

✍🏼As part of its ongoing mission to modernize the National Museum of Cameroon, a capacity-building workshop was organized for the institution’s personnel this April 6, 2026.

✍🏼The training focused on collection conservation, inventory management, museum documentation, and tour guiding techniques.

✍🏼The primary objective was to enhance staff competence in daily museum operations, thereby achieving greater operational excellence.

✍🏼The initiative was led by the Director of the National Museum, ETTA OJANG Ivan, and will go a long way toward contributing to the reorganization and the protection of the collection, adequate information and identification of the collection, as well as restrictions on the risk of theft, and the prevention of illegal and contraband art business in the subsector.

✍🏼The learning session featured presentations by lead facilitator KADJE Camille, a Consultant in Cultural Management, along with OTEH Charlotte and Terence BESAKA. Their sessions culminated in practical exercises designed to reinforce understanding and skill retention.

✍🏼The workshop was conducted under the supervision of the National Museum Management Board, chaired by Minister BIDOUNG MKPATT, Minister of Arts and Culture.

✍🏼The training concluded with participants receiving their certificates of attendance from the Director of the National Museum.

✍🏼 Le Musée national du Cameroun participe activement à la 14e Conférence ministérielle de l’Organisation mondiale du commerce, qui se tiendra du 26 au 29 mars 2026 à Yaoundé.

✍🏼 Une équipe, coordonnée par le directeur du Musée, a été mise en place pour embellir le lieu de la conférence, le Palais des Congrès de Yaoundé, avec des artefacts culturels soigneusement sélectionnés, mettant en valeur la riche diversité culturelle des quatre aires culturelles du Cameroun.
