Just got this photo from a very happy client who's loving her new painting by Patri O'connor! We love it too!

Did this little painting today because even on vacation I want to paint. I was inspired by the many weddings I’ve seen I over the years on the bay and on Alki Beach. Love conquers all.

The loveliest young woman came in today in a mood to look at art ...how special that she chose to leave with the art of Patri O'connor!

New one for my Legacy Portrait series.
“The Little Black Dress” is the tile of this double portrait. Two of my favorite people striking a pose. Done in oil paint on canvas 60cm x 70cm

Another addition to my portrait series

The Golden One

I always wondered how Klimt felt about his subjects. Did he know that youth and beauty was ephemeral and capturing it was a kind of alchemy? His women captured in a moment from which there was no return.
I am reminded a line of the Joni Mitchell song “Sweet Bird “

“I lay down golden
And woke up vanishing”…
