For over three decades, Deimantas Narkevičius has been one of the defining voices in European contemporary art, working between film, photography, and sculpture to surface what official narratives often leave out.
Exhibited at Centre Pompidou, Tate Modern, MoMA, Museo Reina Sofía, and the Stedelijk Museum. Represented Lithuania at the 49th Venice Biennale, later part of the landmark „Utopia Station“ (curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, Molly Nesbit, Rirkrit Tiravanija).
Three interwoven bodies of work, one question: how does history remain imprinted in landscape, object, and consciousness?
