Gallery for contemporary art in Zürich and Auvernier.

Galerie Lange + Pult focuses on conceptual and neo-pop artists with a particular interest in three-dimensional works. It was founded in June 2007 by Céline Lange and Stefano Pult and is situated in the Löwenbräu Areal in Zürich. The gallery has a distinctive international roster of well-established artists as well as a programme that promotes and supports young, dynamic newcomers.

galerie lange + pult is pleased to invite you to the opening of the group exhibition SculptureS. Join us on Saturday, June 6 from 4 pm for an afternoon gathering at the gallery.

Bringing together a wide range of approaches to contemporary sculpture, the exhibition explores the relationships between material, form, volume, and space. Whether monumental or more discreet, the works unfold singular presences and invite the eye to move between surfaces, lines, tensions, and balances. The artists presented in the exhibition develop a sensitive reflection on sculpted matter, its transformations, and its inscription within space. Their works establish subtle dialogues with their surroundings, offering both a visual and physical experience of contemporary sculpture.

With works by Alfredo Aceto, Lilian Bourgeat, Henrik Eiben, Lucas Erin, Joana Escoval, Sylvie Fleury, Vincent Kohler, Didier Marcel, Francisco da Mata, Mathieu Mercier, Gerold Miller, Olivier Mosset, Delphine Reist, Wolfram Ullrich and Thomas Wachholz.

Join us tomorrow to discover the show of Beat Zoderer during la Nuit des Bains.

Beat Zoderer is a major figure in contemporary Swiss art, whose practice is rooted in a constant dialogue with the legacy of Concrete Art, while gradually moving beyond it. Since the 1980s, his work has explored the relationships between color, form, rhythm, and space through a wide range of media, including painting, sculpture, and installation, with particular attention paid to systems and structures.
In Zoderer’s work, formal rigor is never synonymous with coldness; on the contrary, it serves a sensitive investigation into perception, the movement of the gaze, and the internal tensions of the image.

The series HAIKU fully belongs to this continuity, while at the same time marking a subtle shift. The title is not metaphorical; it designates a genuine working method. Like the haiku, a brief and condensed poetic form, these paintings rely on an economy of means, a high degree of precision, and a contained intensity. Executed in acrylic on MDF panels or cardboard, they present multicolored surfaces structured by grids and modular patterns, often composed of recurring small squares.

Join us tomorrow for the first exhibition of Beat Zoderer in our Geneva space.

HAIKU is not just a title, it is a method. In this new series, Beat Zoderer transposes the economy of haiku into the pictorial field: brevity, tension, precision. Each work (acrylic on MDF or cardboard) displays multicolored surfaces structured by grids and modular patterns. The translucent layers overlap, creating intermediate tones and a spatial depth that is not immediately apparent.
The small, recurring squares function as rhythmic units: they organize the chromatic vibration without ever freezing the visual instability that emanates from it. As an heir to concrete art, Zoderer continues his reflection on spatiality and its optical resonances, but with an unusual restraint, almost meditative.
As in a successful haiku, nothing overflows: everything is contained in the precision of the gesture, the silence between the forms, and the attention paid to the moment when perception shifts.
