𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗕𝗬 𝗝𝗨𝗟𝗜𝗔 𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗠𝗢𝗙𝗙
Born in Munich in 1976, Julia Nissimoff initially pursued a career in early childhood education, working as a kindergarten teacher for six years. However, painting blossomed as a cherished hobby during this time. A life-altering diagnosis of frozen shoulder led to a pivotal encounter with holistic osteopath Dr. Uta Scheven. Recognizing Julia’s artistic spirit, Dr. Scheven’s encouragement to fully express creativity became a turning point. A commissioned piece for Dr. Scheven’s practice marked the beginning of Julia’s artistic journey. Notably, this experience reignited a passion for both art and working with children.
Between 2015 and 2018, Julia resided in Udaipur, India. This immersive experience deeply influenced the artist. From creating vibrant wall paintings to conducting children’s workshops and contributing to interior design projects, Julia embraced artistic expression in its many forms. Currently residing in Switzerland, the artist continues to find inspiration in the beauty of diverse cultures.
Acrylics and oils are Julia’s primary mediums, applied with a spatula and mixed techniques on canvases, cardboard, and even glass. The works often center around the elements of fire, water, earth, air, and light, which Julia skillfully combines into energetic and powerful color compositions.
