"THE COURAGE TO LOOK DEEPER INSIDE YOURSELF"

Next up at BILD8005: Ivana Kojić (*1986) relocated to Switzerland in 1992 from Ex-Yugoslavia. She attended the first year of the Master in Fine Arts at the Zurich University of the Arts, where she previously got her Bachelor. Her multidisciplinary practice combines installation, video, sculpture, and photography. Evolving from her personal experience as a Seconda, her work explores the various ruptures and glitches of a post-war and post-migrational generation, shaped by the conflict of dichotomous living systems between inclusivity/exclusivity, traditions/modernity, individualism/collectivism.

“Der Zyklus: Orgelpfeiffen hängen an dünnen Stahlseilen von der Decke. Lautes Rauschen. Zeitgesteuerte Luftpumpen erzeugen Riesenballone in Menschengrösse. Plötzlicher Stillstand. Die Ventile öffnen sich. Hohe Töne und tiefe Frequenzen ergeben eine tranceartige Landschaft, dessen Klangteppich im Bild8005 erfahrbar gemacht wird.”

Next up at Bild8005 – "Alienation of an organ" by Moritz Ryffel

Die anthropogene Umwelt als Inspirationsquelle verstehend, widmet sich Moritz Ryffel auf spielerische Art einem prozesshaften Weg.

Das Experiment mit seiner Unvorhersehbarkeit ist Methode im Prozess und wird zum Instrument, um Neues zu entdecken. Oftmals beginnend mit der Erforschung seines Umfeldes eröffnet der Künstler neue Verbindungen aus Artefakten, Erinnerungen und Assoziationen. Er untersucht in seinen auditiven Arbeit nicht nur den Einfluss von installativen Interventionen auf den physischen Raum, sondern beleuchtet besonders auch die Wirkung von Klängen und Geräuschen auf das Kontinuum von Raum und Zeit.
