RE-MAPPING 5 WATERS
as part of the A Kind of Quinquatria weekend, Ananda Jade and Lola Knechtel Subirós developed two days of workshops:
Saturday, 21.3.26
10-16 Uhr Re-mapping 5 Waters I
Workshop on a collective countermapping of seacharts and colonial memory. With Lola Knechtel Subirós and Ananda Jade.
This workshop explores water as a site of memory, relational knowledge, and speculative imagination. Beginning with a viewing of "4 Waters. Deep Implicancy" by Denise Ferreira da Silva and Arjuna Neuman, we reflect on water as a continuous flow of colonial histories, ecological devastation, displacement, and interconnected temporalities. A field session to Lake Zuricj invited sensory exploration, free writing and documentation of submerged stories that will inform our collaborative re-mapping process.

Sunday, 22.3.26
10-16 Uhr Re-mapping 5 Waters II
with Lola Knechtel Subirós & Ananda Jade and guests Alisha Dutt, Bernice Ekoula, Neyen Pailamilla, Olorunfemi Johnson
This workshop day shifts from observation to speculative counter-mapping of five water bodies: the Mediterranean, the Pacific, the Atlantic, the Indian Ocean, and Lake Zurich. Together with invited guests, participants work with archival materials, field notes and collected fragments to uncover hidden histories and imagine alternative futures beyond conventional maps.
