All about the lines by Marian Solisz

Marian Solisz:

"I seek images guided by intuition, balancing between imagination and reason. Absorbing life with all my senses, I constantly analyze its subtlest manifestations, meticulously examining the issues of my creative pursuits.

Regardless of the subject of my image searches, whether industrial installations or architecture, nature or inner states of mind, the most important element in building the image is the line. Lines with which I delineate a given object, constructing and deconstructing it, reducing it to the role of a pretext, whose smallest elements, lines defining directions, make an object of contemplation out of boundless space.

And the lines themselves, in their unpredictable tendency to create illusory perspectives and dramatic tensions in surprisingly unexpected circumstances, give us the opportunity to experience ever new and refreshing emotions with their power.

Greg Podgorski Contemporary Art is pleased to present Kasia Domanska paintings exhibition, on view up to July 30 2024.

Kasia Domanska is a painter working in oil technique. Studied at the Department of Painting and Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Artist paintings have been the subject of international exhibitions including National Museum in Warsaw, New York, London, during Art Basel, Art Palm Beach and Context Art Miami. Her works are in private collections in Europe and the United States.

Marta Kochanek shows scenes of everyday life from many years ago. As inspiration, Marta Kochanek uses photographs from her family album, press photos, old advertisements and stills from old films. She likes tomix the reality from the 1950s-1970s with the present. Her references to the past are a deliberate gesture and an expression of longing.

Marta Kochanek shows scenes of everyday life from many years ago. As inspiration, Marta Kochanek uses photographs from her family album, press photos, old advertisements and stills from old films. She likes tomix the reality from the 1950s-1970s with the present. Her references to the past are a deliberate gesture and an expression of longing. Back then, life used to be slower, there was more time for friendships, family and fun. Nowadays, it’s more and more difficult to find inner peace and quiet, to find one's own intimate world.
