Open the top lid and remove the filter cones (D and C).
Place fresh coffee grounds into the Lower Filter Cone (C).
Place the Upper Filter Cone (D) back on top; it can contain a layer of used grounds or act as a distributor to ensure the water hits the lower filter evenly.
Add the Water:
Turn the handle T to open the supply pipe.
Pour fresh water into the Filling Funnel (F).
The water flows through Pipe X into the Lower Boiler (A).
Monitor the Water Level Gauge (N) to avoid overfilling.
Seal and Heat:
Crucial: Close the valve T tightly. If left open, the steam will escape, and the water won’t rise.
Place the machine over a heat source (like a spirit lamp or stove).
The Extraction:
As the water boils in A, the steam pressure forces the hot water up the Rising Tube (E).
The water rains down onto Filter D, then Filter C, extracting the coffee flavor.
The brewed coffee drips into the Sammelbehälter (B).
Enjoy:
Once the process is complete, use the Taps (R or R‘) to pour your fresh coffee directly into the cup.
