In 2025, the IAC welcomed over 250 new members from 59 countries around the world. These new members are primarily individual artists, alongside galleries, museums, ceramic centres, schools, curators, and educators—all united by a shared dedication to advancing the field of ceramics.
We’re introducing some of these new members, who, together, represent an inspiring cross-section of today’s outstanding ceramic talent. We look forward to getting to know all or our new members and extend a warm welcome to each of them to the IAC.
Hernán Dario Vargas is an Argentine musician and ceramic artist whose practice brings visual art, sound, and clay into a shared field of experimentation. For more than two decades, he has created ceramic instruments, interactive sound sculptures, and ensembles that reveal clay as a resonant body. Through the interdisciplinary project Suena Barro, he combines craftsmanship, performance, education, and collective creation.
