PJ-SI-62-A

Some chairs wait.
Some chairs hold.

Some reveal themselves at once
Others take time.

Broad shoulders.
A patient stance.

The quiet creature
holds its ground.

It is a pleasure to be a part of the exhibition "The Architecture of Power". The building, Le Corbusier’s last work, belongs, like the Chandigarh project, to a phase where he expressed his playful approach. The spiral form of our Witness Box in the hall resembles the benches on the roof of the Heidi Weber Museum. Therefore, it is remarkable to see the elemental feature of his late works that is expressed here.

The exhibition focuses on the architectural visions of power, allowing us to compare visionary utopian projects and expressions of gigantism.

The exhibit runs until November 29, 2026.

INSTINCT
AND RESISTANCE

BOLD AND DISCIPLINED, THE OBJECTS RULE WITH WEIGHT AND CONSTRUCTION. THEY OFFER A DIRECT ENCOUNTER WITH HISTORY. THE CALL FOR ATTENTION LIES IN RAWNESS. RAWNESS EMERGES FROM WILD EXPERIMENTATION, AN INSATIABLE DESIRE TO CREATE AND BEND NORMS. A DECISION TO PROJECT THE UNIVERSAL IDEALS OF MODERNITY ONTO INDIAN REALITY IN CHANDIGARH.
