Maxim was not just a business name. A local Manitoba wool business was named after a family employee, Mary Maximchuk, who drafted up the original iconic sweater patterns.

Learn more in our virtual exhibit “The Mystery of Mary Maximchuk,” created alongside our in-person exhibit during the summer of 2023 featuring the private sweater collection of Linda Lazarowich.
