Step back into a time with our when every purchase rang up with a satisfying clunk and a pull of the drawer. This photo shows an old-fashioned cash register, a staple of early general stores and shops. With its metal keys, mechanical buttons, and beautifully worn details, it reminds us of a slower, more hands-on era of shopping and business. What do you think it would have felt like to use this every day? How is this different from the digital checkout systems we use today? What kinds of stories do you think this cash register could tell if it could talk?
