The Sir Andrew Macphail Homestead is a National Historic Site with guided tours. Serving lunches from 12:00 am to 2:30 pm (July & August) - fresh ingredients from our own garden. Sir Andrew was born in this farm house and went on to be a doctor, editor, pre-eminent writer and WW1 veteran. His classic book "The Master's Wife" is a memoir of his childhood in this very house. Follow the winding road

for 2km until it becomes a small quaint country road. This tree-lined entrance brings you to the gateway on the left of the peaceful and secluded Sir Andrew Macphail Homestead.

On Saturday, August 8th, artists will be on the grounds again to do open-air painting. All are welcome; bring your own equipment and be inspired by the nature and buildings on our vast homestead. The Veranda Tearoom will be open and serving scones and tea. The official opening of our beautiful Art Exhibition will be at 1am. Refreshments will be served. All art in the exhibition is for sale.

The Sir Andrew Macphail Homestead was the residence of an accomplished teacher, doctor, and author whose work reached far beyond Prince Edward Island. The beautifully restored home once welcomed Lucy Maud Montgomery for dinner and now hosts engaging lectures for today’s visitors.

The 140‑acre property invites guests to wander scenic trails and gardens or enjoy a traditional afternoon tea service.

July to September, Wednesday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Afternoon Tea on Thursday and Saturday at 2:00 PM by reservation; Sunday Lunch and Lecture Series at 1:00 PM by reservation
