Have you been dying to see some new art exhibits? Look no further!
Surrey Art Gallery's show, Ground Signals, will be featuring Roxanne Charles, one of our MFA students, as an exhibiting artist and co-curator in it! Cathy Busby, whose work is at the Harbour Centre Gallery, will also be exhibiting, along with over 12 other artists of indigenous heritage from across Canada. Their show invites us to consider our own relationship to the Canadian landscapes in fresh and compelling ways through a combination of sounds and images.
Opening night is on Sept 23rd, admission is FREE!
It begins at 6:30pm, starting with a panel discussion moderated by curators Jordan Strom and Roxanne Charles with exhibiting artists Ruth Beer, Brandon Gabriel, ValΓ©rie d. Walker, and Bobbi L. Kozinuk. There will also be live performances that night!
If you can't make the opening night, the exhibit will still be on from Sep 23rd to Dec 10th! For more details, check out:
