Join us at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum for a FREE professional development day designed for educators next week. Discover how our exhibits, programs, and resources support learning from Kindergarten through post-secondary education through curriculum-connected field trips, Beaty Boxes, online learning opportunities, and educational programming available throughout the year.

Explore the museum at your own pace, join a guided tour, watch the Raising Big Blue documentary, and connect with education partners from across UBC while learning about engaging ways to bring biodiversity and natural science into your classroom.

🎉 It’s our birthday! 🎂

On Friday, October 16, 2026, the Beaty Biodiversity Museum is celebrating 16 years of inspiring
curiosity about the natural world, and we would love to celebrate with you!

Admissions will be by donation all day, so come explore our iconic blue whale and over 500 exhibits
on display with friends and family on this very special day!

We’re so grateful to all of our visitors, members, donors, volunteers, friends, staff, and families who
have helped make the past 16 years possible.

To commemorate this sweet sixteen (on the 16th!), take a trip down memory lane with us and look at
some milestones we’ve reached together as a museum.
