Returning Guest and Locals ask anything new added this year?

Here we have a new acquisition! Donated by John Gillett.

John a fishermen from Gillesport, Durrell, NL was hauling his cod nets back in the 1980’s off Devils Cove Rock near Long Point Twillingate in 20 fathoms of water and tangled in his net was this Dead Eye from an old sailing ship.
By the look of the bended metal the ship had a violent end.

Dead Eyes were used to support the mast.

Just some of the interesting and unique things you’ll see here at the Museum.
