Out of the Loop Art Gallery

Out of the Loop Art Gallery Welcome to Out Of The Loop Art Gallery™ (OOTLAG™), a space dedicated to show my art, and art by others that I admire.

Additionally, I may share anything else that I find creative , as I am a lover of art, a creator of art, and a collector of art. No dealers, no curators, no heavy hitting representation, just me making art, by myself, old school, and out of the loop. Copies of my art can be purchased on different surface options at Fineartamerica.com

I would so go to this, by myself, alone ... walk around, see all the artwork and be inspired, fall in love with pieces, be disgusted at others, be in awe with admiration, feel jealous of the talent, buy some OCAD U Merch ... avoid running into ... go the Grange and have lunch, and think about my next project of creation.

FREE EXHIBITION (If you love art, you should go)

What's the story behind GradEx 111?
GradEx 111 is the 111th annual graduate exhibition of OCAD University, held in Toronto from May 6 to 10, 2026.
This event is one of Toronto's largest free art and design exhibitions, showcasing the work of over 800 emerging artists, designers, and digital media makers. The exhibition is a celebration of the students' hard work and creativity, featuring various art forms, including:
Visual Arts: Paintings, sculptures, and installations, such as Sabrina Holmes' landscapes exploring the environment and emotional ties of military members.
Industrial Design: Prototypes like Alex Chang's e-bike with AI sensing technologies and Kai Principe Rapa's wearable tech interface for people with Parkinson's.
Digital Media: Interactive installations, games, and immersive experiences, like "Beam It Up, Blorp!" by Kayli Chow, Giuliana Costa, and Cole Kassirer.
Graphic Design and Illustration: Boundary-pushing designs and striking artwork.
The event is free and open to the public, with no tickets or pre-registration required. Visitors can explore the exhibition at their own pace, interact with the artists, and purchase original art pieces.
GradEx 111 is a significant event in Toronto's creative calendar, offering a unique opportunity to experience the city's vibrant art scene.
🎨GradEx 98 exhibition in 2013 is when I participated, it was the best experience in a mass exhibition, I'll never forget it

THE WIND PHONE - Created by Itaru Sasaki

The creator and builder of the very first Wind Phone was Itaru Sasaki, a Japanese garden designer, who built it in 2010 in Ōtsuchi, Japan to cope with the death of his cousin. It was a private way to "speak" to his cousin who had died of cancer. The wind phone became famous, after the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, which killed over 15,000 people, Sasaki opened the phone booth to the public. Thousands of grieving families visited to “call” loved ones lost in the disaster.
It has since received over 30,000 visitors and inspired replicas around the world.💖Below Itaru Sasaki's Wind Phone - In an interview, he stated, "Because my thoughts couldn't be relayed over a regular phone line, I wanted them to be carried on the wind."
