Congrats to the 2025 team! From the debut of the vibrant Arte Sur section to the monumental installations, the fair was full of surprises, inspiration, and had some pretty special unforgettable moments.

Here are a few highlights that caught our eyes:

✨Marie-Claude Marquis - hand painted typography on vintage plates, infusing pop culture and nostalgia into everyday objects. Presented by .

✨Russell Banx - delicate graphite drawing depicting interior sensitivity and communicative subtleties of body language. Presented by .pangee.

✨Gerardo Ramírez- a dance of form and colours by the Costa Rican artist who has lived and worked in Toronto for 50 years. Presented by .

✨Jeremy Holmes - intricate wooden sculptures where hardwoods like white ash are soaked, softened, and bent into abstract compositions. Presented by .

✨Aline Setton - architectural paintings and installations exploring the oscillating relationship between bodies, pictorial language, and built structures. Presented by .

✨Hedy Yang - hand painted stoneware capturing the pastel hues of the Californian landscape. Presented by .

Art Toronto reminded us why we love experiencing art in person- every corner offered a new perspective, a story, a detail to get lost in.

Coincidentally, our founder Marla Wasser has been a huge fan of Snelling’s work and has owned an incredible piece titled “Bad Motel” for years. It is such a great honour to see Snelling’s collaboration with the Koffler Arts here in Toronto!

Step inside the exhibition space and you are immersed in a world of cacophonous imagery: tucked-away dining room cluttered with found objects, towering cardboard-and-wood structures with glowing screen “windows,” a life-sized bed evoking a love hotel, neon signage guiding the way through a maze of posters, images, and fragments of pop culture.

Inspired by cities like Shanghai, Tokyo, Berlin, and across the U.S., the Beastie Boys–inspired title mirrors Snelling’s eccentric style. Peep-show screens and voyeuristic vignettes invite you to linger on the details—yet together they form a universal whole, uniting Wong Kar-wai stills with glimpses of Ryan Gosling and Daniel Radcliffe in one eclectic constellation.

Themes of taboos and desire surface throughout. In one corner, a video piece “Tell Me You Love Me” shows the artist engaging in Sh***ri, Japanese rope art, bound with masks, wigs, toys, Hello Kitty, and even George Clooney’s face cutout—blurring play, restraint, and performance.

Forgotten architectures also reappear: miniatures of Naples’ failed Vele di Scampia, Berlin’s infamous Bierpinsel tower, and the abandoned Mäusebunker (“Mouse Bunker”) research facility. Each serves as a memory of spaces once buzzing with promise, now left in ruin.

This is a show best experienced in person—don’t miss it.

of the week: 𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙉𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 by Marcel Dzama🌙✨

At Los Angeles, Canadian artist conjures a dreamlike world of dancing figures, mythic creatures, and celestial skies.

Made in the quiet of night, these lush ink-and-watercolor scenes channel Goya and Lorca- blending surrealism with sharp political undertones. Allegory, protest, and poetry collide in jungles both real and imagined.

Even amid darkness, Dzama gives us wonder.
