We have been working with Digital Museums Canada and S.S. Atlantic Heritage Park Society to tell the courageous stories of the people who rescued 429 passengers and crew from the icy, coastal waters near Lower Prospect, Nova Scotia.

Working with community members of the area, whose families have ties to the brave rescuers, ‘Lifeline’ creative director Ariella Pahlke and and SSA Society board member Sheila Lamplugh have been capturing these oral tales for the interactive website read by local residents. Here, Cook Slaunwhite is reading a story written collaboratively by Bob Chaulk and community members. We are proud to help preserve these local stories of perseverance and community as they are an important part of our Canadian heritage.
