Special hours for Saturday September 26. It's Lumière and I won't be opening for the day, I'll be opening for the night! Opening late afternoon 4ish? until 9pm (ish again). Come see all the art on Charlotte St, and take a little side trip on Dorchester to pop in to see me!

No cruise ship today but the shop is open!

One thing I've learned over the last few weeks though - downtown Sydney is kind of dead on Saturdays, especially after 2pm. So I'll be closing up today at 2, and will probably do that on Saturdays in future (except for ship days or special events).

Still learning the traffic patterns and when the shop should/shouldn't be open - I'll get there eventually!

Exciting move for me! I have always wanted Driftwood Gallery to be more than just my work, and now that I've opened in Sydney I'm making that move!

I want to help Cape Breton artists have more visibility and more opportunities.

More will be coming soon (like an art market coming up!)

Happy to report that the road from Fourchu to Sydney is clear of storm damage, my shop basement hasn't flooded and the Sydney shop is open today!

There's a cruise ship in port, but the weather is still kind of miserable and there's no one out walking. I may close up early if it stays dead like this, or if the weather turns for the worse.

FOURCHU UPDATE!

I was planning to keep Fourchu open for another couple of days (since the trail map says I'm open until Sep 7), however last night not only did my roadside sign blow into the ditch, a window in the gallery blew out!

There's not a lot of damage fortunately, but I will have to move stuff out and Brian will board up that window, so Fourchu is now officially CLOSED for the season.

The Sydney shop is year round, and anyone in Fourchu who needs to pick things up from me (t-shirts!) will be able to collect them from my studio on MacDonald Rd by appointment.

New lighting installed in the shop today—it looks sooooo much better!

This is the first of a 13 day open stretch for me here.. 14 cruise ships coming in that period and today we say welcome to the Sapphire Princess!

Black T-shirts are back in, but only a few of them! I have medium, large and extra large available.

I still have white available in Small, Medium, Large and 2XL.

All set up in the lovely Square Roots Port Hawkesbury Community Market -- we're here until 7pm.

I have a few bags, jewellery, and a nice selection of originals and prints with me today, including ACEOs-- tiny collectables.
ACEO prints are $5.95 and originals are just $19.95!
