Who doesn’t love some homemade décor!? Kick off our all-new Creative Mind Art Workshop Series with a fun and creative Mosaic Tray Workshop! Create your very own unique mosaic tray while learning the basics of this colourful and creative art form. All materials are provided — but we’ll save the plate smashing for you! 😉💥 For those doing single day, grouting will be done at home, but we provide all instructions and materials.

Back by popular demand, our special walking tour of the Strathroy Cemetery, led by museum staff, it will focus on war graves, veterans stories, and general military history.

This tour is weather dependant and will be rescheduled if needed.

Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather! These tours welcome participants of all ages, but some of the content may not be suitable for small children. Parental discretion is advised.

Fire Prevention Week is October 4 to 10, 2026!

Charles Olivera and his friend Jamie Silva are no match for the powerful "Jaws of Life", even though Jamie's shirt professes him to be The Six Million Dollar man. Fireman Dan Girardin effectively demonstrated the strength of the Strathroy Fire Department's relatively new and valuable piece of equipment for all who came to the event, set up at Our Lady Immaculate School in Strathroy on Wednesday morning and afternoon. Safety officer Dan Halliday and some OLI students watch this rather one-sided battle.

Fire Prevention Week is October 4 to 10, 2026! This year Fire Prevention Week focuses on “Charge into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower!”

The Strathroy Fire Department put on a demonstration of their equipment and techniques they use in fighting a fire at the Kenwick Mall on Friday night. The demonstration was part of the local fire department's activities during National Fire Prevention Week. Here, members of the rescue squad show the crowd how effective the Jaws of Life are in removing a sprung door so they can get inside the car to administer first aid to a victim.

Back by popular demand, but with a holiday twist!

Join us for a three-day snowman carving workshop with talented artist Earl Brown! We will be making 2 and painting them! Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some carving experience, this workshop is a great opportunity to learn, get creative, and create your very own hand-carved snowman ornament.

All materials provided and carving tools are yours to keep!

When: Thursday November 5, 12 & 19 @6:30-8pm

Volunteers still needed!

Yes we still have poppies and we can’t let any go to waste! This year we are doing something a little different. We are looking for volunteers to help us create wreaths for local businesses. Come out to our attaching days, or pick up the supplies from the museum to do at home.

Set up at Caradoc Community Centre (565 Lions Park Drive, Mount Brydges) September 28, October 2, 5, & 9 from 10am-12pm volunteers will be able to drop in and help attach the poppies.
