Created in collaboration with the talented students of Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School, this innovative exhibit offers a one-of-a-kind interactive experience unlike anything previously presented at Museum Strathroy-Caradoc. Through creativity, technology, and local storytelling, these students have transformed their vision into an engaging journey that invites visitors to see Strathroy-Caradoc through a new lens.

Join us as we celebrate the official opening of this remarkable exhibition and recognize the hard work, imagination, and dedication of the students, teachers, and community members who helped bring it to life, including Bluheron Interactive, The Wright Family Foundation, and Anderson Windows and Doors. Come meet the students, and enjoy an evening of conversation, discovery, and community. We look forward to sharing this exciting achievement with you.

Located in downtown Strathroy, Museum Strathroy-Caradoc is dedicated to telling the stories of our local heritage. Home of the Sir Arthur Currie Memorial, the museum hosts a mix of rotating exhibits. Admission & parking are free!

On this day June 15, 1961

Strathroy Age Dispatch: Members of the Strathroy Branch of the Canadian Legion gathered at the site of the new hall on Metcalfe Street Saturday afternoon for cornerstone laying ceremonies. J. R. Calcutt, chairman of the building committee, laid the ceremonial block. Contracting work is being done by Alex Clark and Son, with completion scheduled in September.

Take your cupcakes to the next level with Museum Strathroy-Caradoc! Join cupcake and cake decorating whiz, Tanya Zwambag for a beginner’s workshop on cupcake decorating. Please note, this workshop teaches basic techniques on parchment paper, but with the included decorating kit and Tanya’s assembled booklet of resources so you can continue learning!

Please bring your own spatulas (and aprons if wanted), everything else will be provided.

Defying Gravity on June 6, 1984

Strathroy Age Dispatch: Bill Lysko puts everything he has into a five foot high jump, and clears the bar during track and field day competition at Caradoc North Public School last Friday. Many elementary schools in the area have been staging their annual track and field days with individual winners of events moving on to district competitions.

93% of Canadians agree that museums help them to understand other cultures and communities. Join us in celebrating May is Museum Month and share something new you learned at a museum below!

Photo of the unveiling of the 2024 Poppy Project. This project was made possible thanks to the efforts of volunteers. In total 10,152 poppies were donated to the museum with an estimate of 7000 hours that went into creating this number of poppies. While the majority came from our community and Southwestern Ontario, packages and support also came from Toronto, Ottawa, Peterborough, Kingston, Calgary, New Brunswick, New York (USA), Maine (USA), London (England), The Netherlands, Nice (France), and more.

Who doesn’t love some homemade decor!?

Join us for this all new workshop to make your very own mosaic trays. All materials provide, but we will save the plate smashing for you!
Have some dishes you want to use? No problem, you can BYOP (bring your own plate) and upcycle them into something new.
