Rainy days on Weslemkoon Lake while spending summers there, meant cards and games. I have fond memories of those days. But I also enjoyed our boat trips around the lake and seeing friend’s cottages and visiting with them.

This little painting I did this morning (6”x6” acrylic) is an ode to those memories. The family that lived there in those days were certainly special to ours.

This may become a keepsake in my own collection.

These four original hand painted paintings will be making an appearance at Stratford Art in the Park this Saturday, June 27, and Sunday, June 28.

From peaceful waters and brilliant autumn colours to winding woodland paths, each piece celebrates the beauty of the Canadian landscape that continually inspires my work.

If you’re spending the weekend in Stratford, I’d love for you to stop by, say hello, and see these paintings in person. There is nothing quite like experiencing original art up close.
