It was our pleasure to be part of this year's Gathering of the Classics! ✈️

We are delighted to have taken part in Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation (ECAF)'s Gathering of the Classics on August 8, sharing our passion for Canada's aviation heritage with visitors from near and far.

Our full-scale Avro Arrow replica continues to inspire conversations about one of the most remarkable chapters in Canadian aerospace history. Seeing so many guests stop, ask questions, and learn about the legacy of the Arrow is exactly why we do what we do.

A sincere thank you to the Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation (ECAF)for hosting another outstanding event and to everyone who stopped by the museum to explore, ask questions, and support aviation preservation.

Together, we're keeping history alive! One story, one aircraft, and one visitor at a time.

A rare sighting indeed!!

Every once in a while, aviation history comes to life in the most ordinary way.

Our Director, Aura had the privilege of taking to the skies a privately owned 1925 de Havilland Gypsy Moth- an aircraft that represents the very days of recreational aviation.

While this particular Gypsy Moth is privately owned, if you’ve ever e dreamed of experiencing the thrill of open-cockpit flying in a classic aircraft, Edenvale Classic Aircraft offers flights in their beautifully restored de Havilland Tiger Moth.

We’re thrilled to see Canadians will soon experience the Avro Arrow on display at Paul Coffey Park-an installation that will undoubtedly spark questions, ignite curiosity, and inspire future generations.

That’s something we take great pride in at the Canadian Air and Space Conservancy Museum.

Through our guided tours and up-close experience with the full-scale Avro Arrow replica, we go beyond the surface-giving visitors the knowledge, insight, and confidence to speak about this defining chapter in Canada’s aviation history with both pride and respect.

Funded by 25 corporations and private donors, the monument celebrates the community’s mid-20th-century aviation history.

Some moments inside these hangars feel bigger than history. 🇨🇦

Yesterday, members of the Canadian Armed Forces stood beneath the Arrow - a symbol of Canadian innovation, ambition, sacrifice, and the generations of people who dedicated their lives to serving this country in different ways.

Watching uniforms gather around one of Canada’s greatest engineering achievements was a reminder that patriotism isn’t loud. Sometimes it looks like respect. Reflection. Pride in where we’ve been, and belief in where we’re capable of going.

The Arrow still stands for possibility.

The Canadian Air & Space Museum is proud to collaborate on My Arrow, a new documentary honouring the people behind the legendary Avro Canada CF-105 Arrow. 🇨🇦

More than the story of an aircraft, My Arrow explores the human legacy of innovation, ambition, and resilience that helped define a generation of Canadian aerospace history. Through personal reflections and untold stories, this documentary pays tribute to the engineers, workers, families, and visionaries who believed in the Arrow and its potential.

As home to the world’s only full-scale Avro Arrow replica, the museum is honoured to support a project dedicated to preserving this important chapter of Canada’s history for future generations.

This independent production is currently seeking community and financial support to help bring the film to audiences across Canada and beyond. Donations made through the museum may be eligible for charitable tax receipts.
