𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬, the Museum team and its valued collaborators are hard at work preparing the new exhibition Habiter la frontière / Living on the Border. Each photograph, each artefact, each design element is gradually finding its place.

Made of branches, stems, feathers, and other materials gathered from the surrounding forests, this portal looks as though it stepped straight out of a fairy tale. 🪶 But where does it lead?

𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐞𝐱𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, there are always dozens of little holes to patch before we can install the next one. And when you don’t have a museum technician on staff, you call on the Museum’s director!

While he was doing the repairs, we started wondering: 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐡𝐞’𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬? 🎧

𝐃𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞̀𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 se cachent toujours des dizaines de petits trous à remplir avant d’installer la suivante. Quand on n’a pas la chance d’avoir un technicien en muséologie dans l’équipe, on demande au directeur du Musée! 👨‍🎨

There is always a sense of loss when a long-running exhibition comes to an end. For a year, Inalterable filled the Colby-Curtis with its enigmatic presence ; and then, one day, it’s time to let it go.

Thank you again to Yann Pocreau and Marie-Charlotte Franco for this journey into the Museum’s archives, which explores the traces of a lost memory.

Il y a toujours un sentiment de perte quand une longue exposition s’achève. Pendant un an, Inaltérable a habité le Colby-Curtis de sa présence énigmatique; et puis, un jour, il faut la laisser partir.

Merci encore à Yann Pocreau et Marie Charlotte Franco pour cette plongée dans les archives du Musée, qui sonde les témoins d’une mémoire perdue.
