Worth protecting

The purpose of the Springdale Heritage Society is to gather, conserve, and present items and photographs pertaining to the historical and cultural heritage of Springdale and the immediate Hall's Bay area. Come and look at old photographs that show Springdale's history, including the industries of fishing, mink and fox farming, mining, logging, boat building, etc. You can also find the histories/ancestries of different families that live here in Springdale. We also have a replica trapper's cabin and one of the largest taxidermy displays on the island,

Every family has a story worth remembering. Do you have old photographs, documents, letters, or memories tucked away that tell the story of your family in Springdale?

We're continuing to build a collection of our community's history, but we still need your help. Your family photos, documents, and stories could fill in missing pieces of Springdale's past and help preserve them for future generations!

It's never too late to start preserving your family's heritage. Whether you have one photo or a lifetime of memories, every contribution makes a difference.

Email your information to [email protected], or stop by Monday–Friday and every other Saturday, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Explore our growing collection, share your family's history, and become part of preserving Springdale's heritage.
